Are you familiar with Geert Wilders?
Stoning laws are outdated. It's better to make someone's life so sh!tty that they just end up killing themselves. Besides, a country with blasphemy laws couldn't have any comedians.

        They are not!

SLAMABAD: Gunmen shot and killed Pakistan’s government minister for religious minorities on Wednesday, the latest attack on a high-profile Pakistani figure who had urged reforming harsh blasphemy laws that impose the death penalty for insulting Islam.

Pakistan has Qaeda and Taliban elements?... they must have twice the amount of CIA activity than any other country

They really are peasants. Since the pfa and levonakan types like to compare Armenia with the US, imagine if some old f*ck like the one in the first half of the video were to get that close to a high ranking police officer here and shout those same insults, spit, and then try to do it again. He would be hit in the face, tasered and probably beaten by batons. Even if this happened to a low level cop the person would still be hit. Yet, our peasants both on the street and in the media will act as if the cops were to blame for this.

These people do not know how to behave when they are given freedom, they act like rapid dogs!
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Well that old guy was out of line in yelling those things to the police officers repeatedly, God knows what will happen to him when he's in the police custody. That being said, these people were trying to protest and the police was not letting them and being very forceful, that's why they got so mad. Hey, if this was during LTP's regime, those protesters would be beat savagely on the spot or run down with police cars, just like they ran down protesters with tanks when LTP rigged the election.

That being said, one important difference in police in US and Armenia, is that in Armenia police are hated universally, they are seen as the enemy of the people, while in the US there's more respect and also trust in the police force.

I guess you never heard the song, 'f*ck the police', by NWA. Cops are not much liked in the US either, it's just that they can be held accountable more often than cops in Armenia. However, this is beginning to change.

I think the protestors could achieve their aims via peaceful means and in the process make the authorities look bad should they intervene.

Well obviously the black population doesn't like the police, but I'm assuming the whites are good with them.

A large percentage of the younger generation (30 or younger) doesn't like the police or at least likes to talk poorly of them. Part of this is due to rap and films, the other is the upbringing, and the last is too many cops being @ssholes and giving all of them a bad name.
