because I write in English brag about the fact
that Saroyan and Arlen are Armenian.

Insanity comes naturally to man.
Insanity is the norm.
We owe all wars, revolutions, massacres,
and such spectacular instances of injustice
as the execution of Socrates
and the crucifixion of Christ
to an essentially insane social order.

Armenian genocide?
No such thing.
Armeno-Turkish genocide?
That’s better!

The brotherhood of all men?
An illusion. A myth. A good subject
for sermonizers and speechifiers.
Cain and Abel?
A brief history of mankind.

Is this a scientifically established fact
or a theory of uncertain provenance?
I don’t know. I am not sure.
Speaking for myself, I am personally acquainted with a Turcocentric ghazetaji
who, when contradicted, behaves like a Turk
with total unawareness of the metamorphosis.

From our people, credulity.
From our writers, flattery.
From our critics, silence.
Armenians are complex and unpredictable?
Nonsense!
We are more predictable than Pavlov's salivating canines.

Has anyone ever identified himself as a mongrel?
And yet, the world is full of them.

Most Armenians hate what I write.
They prefer to read about nightingales
serenading the moon.

What have we learned from history?
Can we be smart if we are unteachable?

The only reason I am Armenian is that
one of my ancestors decided to identify himself
as one.

We are born and raised
with all the complexes and contradictions
of our environment.
Sanity is a slowly and painfully acquired possession.
This is widely know by shrinks.
The reason why it is not mentioned
and discussed more often is that
there is no money in it.
You can’t tell a man, “If you are insane
it’s because your parents were insane,”
and expect him to pay a hefty bill.

Turks are eager to inform us
Turks did not massacre Armenians.
It was the other way around.
To which I can only say,
if Armenians massacred Turks it’s because
for 600 years Turks were their masters
and role models.
*
I expect little or nothing from Armenians
born and raised in the Ottoman Empire
and the Soviet Union.
I expect more, much more, from Armenians
born and raised in America.
&
I have yet to meet an Armenian
with “leadership qualities” who wasn’t a xxxx.

At least once every day we should remind ourselves of the vastness of the universe and our own insignificance in it....

Some of the greatest men in the history of mankind were persecuted, even executed, for daring to challenge the authority of the 1%. What does that tell you about the IQ of mankind?
