Yeah, it would be difficult because of all the modern assimilation. This is exactly why people should not mix!!!! Ok ok, I dont care much what people do. All I can promise you is: I wont mix.

We've discussed aspects of this before. These designations are all somewhat artificial and arbitrary - or at least have been made by selcting certain characteristics that in the end really don't define well enough as the exceptions among people tend to be greater the the rules - particularly with peoples at the borders as it were of the major groups (or more accuratly continents). Basically most folks commonly accept that there are 3 racial groups - one primarily seen in Africa, the other in Asia and the latter in Europe - with certain distinguishing (primarily external) features...however genetics shows us that our interelationships are much more complex and intertwined. Anyway - ArmoBarbi is correct in that the original designation of Caucasion came about because of this idea that the Georgians epitomized caucasion (European?) features.
A brief discussion of such:

Originally posted by winomanCertainly up to you - but I would contend that just because mixing makes people harder to distinguish is not necessarily a bad thing...and with our modern economies, interdependencies and movements of people it is inevitable. One day in our future we may not have any concept of race or nationality per se - who knows - its certainly possible and perhaps likely. Is this a good thing? Is it a bad thing? Perhaps some of both...but its really beyond us in many ways...its not just our choices but those of millions and millions...billions....and not just current times but out into the future...and I believe people of our future will have other worries, other concerns and other problems/issues confronting them (such as issues concerning bio-genetic manipulation [to perhaps allow people to become anything they want - or somethign different alltogether] as well as issues regarding man-machine interfaces and blurring of distinctions about what might consitute human...etc etc - many things...)
Yes, humanity's problems might change with time. Once people face a serious crisis (say alien invasion) - they are gonna forget all these dumb differences like eye shape or skin color or who beleives in which Old Guy sitting in the skies...
