Aren't Romanians darker than lighter, or Sicilians or Greeks? I suppose it's the same with Caucasians. Of course, the problem is that the more south you live, the more contact and intermingling you've had either with Semites (Moors, Arabs) or Mongoloids, naturally changing your real ethnic genetic makeup.
