Re: I wonder why there's so much hate directed towards Armenians..who don't look arme
Actually I too am Armenian
I have very light skin, brown eyes and brown hair with red/blonde pigmentation (when I was younger it was toward the more redish side)
I think all this arguments is kind of stupid. I remember reading many armenians making fun of white people? Well I am a white armenian
And to the people talking about the language. I remember reading about Armenian and Greek having similarities

Where did I say they were horribly treated by Greeks?Originally posted by TomServo View PostRight. Because these native Anatolian ethnic groups don't exist anymore you can discuss how horribly they were treated by the Greeks.
What do you know about irretrievable loss? Just shut the hell(as) up with your Anadolu/Anaboku and go back to playing in the forum arcade.
I believe the term putting words into ones mouth is in order here...

Re: I wonder why there's so much hate directed towards Armenians..who don't look arme
Wrong.Originally posted by Armenian View PostTurks gradually began to assimilated Byzantine society, namely through conversion of native Greek Christians,
The majority of people who were assimilated were actually native Anatolian peoples and not ethnically Greek people. By that I mean many Anatolian peoples were Hellenized after Alexander the Greats conquests. The entire Anatolian group of languages within the Indo-European language family was irretrievably lost as many Anatolian peoples converted to Greek Orthodoxy and eventually became assimilated into Greek society.
These Greek speaking Anatolian Christians then converted to Islam after the Turkic conquests of Anatolia.

Im sure you would...Originally posted by skhara View PostWell given superhuman powers, I'd have all those calling themselves turks within the region expelled.
I responded to your comment because I believe you are trying to go somewhere with it. The thing is what are you trying to say? Firstly you mention that Turks originate from the eastern side of the Caspian sea then you say that most Turks are descendent from Anatolian peoples and others. So what is the point of this statement? It doesn't do much apart from validate the view that all of Anatolia right up to the border of Armenia has always and will always be an integral and inseparable part of Turkey.Originally posted by skhara View PostBesides, what does it matter to you what I think? I don't believe in any such thing as "rights". The existance on this planet is governed by no other law than jungle law, so you have a "right" to stay anywhere you can forcefully make yourself stay for that matter. We don't really have anything to talk about. So long as you call yourself a turk, I could care less what your genetic makeup is. Just by calling yourself turk, I consider you an enemy and as such know everything I need to know about you.
Hopefully. Shame the weather is crappy where I'm currently at.Originally posted by skhara View PostHave a nice day.

Armenian and Skhara,
How many times has our nation been conquered? Its fair to say that while we have had great triumphs, our destiny has been controlled by other nations and other armies.
Are you stating that in our history, we had more numbers than our immediate neighbors - the Iranians, the Turks. What about the Romans.
And, Armenian, since you don't know me, you have no basis to call me a racist. Nothing about me saying that Armenians have fair features amongst us, is racist. Anyone who knows me knows that I am incredibly inclusive.
But, it is incredibly racist to say that these are not features in our race.
There have been several persons in this thread that have confirmed that their direct relatives who are Armenian are not of the dipped in tea variety.
And, based on your positions, there had to be little or no breeding by Armenians as a result of out of race marriage, out of race sexual relations or just plain out rape.
What did victorious armies do in the past, wipe out the males, children and elders and spread the seed. I think we were likely more often the vessel.

Or the Armenian Highland. Which in Turkish (and most Western) academia is referred to as "Eastern Anatolia."Originally posted by Armenian View PostGive back Western Armenia
This is Asia Minor/Anatolia, anything beyond this is not:

So now we've got Turks who have convinced western academics and themselves that Anatolia is synonymous with Turkey. Check out the pitiful Anatolia article on Wickedpedia.
There's a lot of crap in that article and on Wickedpedia in general, but this takes the cake: Turkish folk etymology breaks down the geographical term into two words, "mother" and "full" Thus, Ana, dolu 'Mother, it is full' or 'Full of mothers.'
Yeah right. More like Ana, bok. Anaboku/Anabaku.

LOL since when did Turkey have to listen to you (probably a nationalist)?Originally posted by Armenian View PostYou can stay, as long as you:
If Turkey didn't give an inch of land to the state "Kurdistan" then why would Turk give a atom of land to create the state "Western Armenia".Originally posted by Armenian View PostGive back Western Armenia; pay Armenians billions of USD in reparations;
HAHAHAHA what will that achieve?Originally posted by Armenian View Postconvert to Greek or Assyrian Christianity;
