    What exactly is a ''rabiz''?

There is no such thing as 'Armenian race', therefore there can not be any ''pure'' Armenian. Define a ''pure'' Armenian before using the word. As a matter of fact there are no ''pure'' nations. Race and nation aren't the same thing. If we go by the rule of Law, Armenians are the one's who have Armenian citizenship. But Armenian is also someone who has armenian ethnic consciousness. It has nothing to do with races.

As a matter of fact we should be open in converting other people into Armenians and play the card of cultural Imperialism, if possible. For example Israel easily gives you citizenship if you are a xxx. This sort of stuff we must do, instead of closing ourselves within artificial racial boundaries. Those who do that want a small Armenia.

And as for the one who opened the thread: they are probably jealous of you.

sure, i don't wear hollister, nor do i drive an S class.
i wear clothes from high end melrose shops, to tank tops you could pick up at target, and i drive a jeep.
i sometimes feel like embracing my heritage is about as fun as dying, since i haven't seen really good examples of what an armenian should be.
so what's the deal with this kind of behavior?

Unfortunately, for lack of time, I will be brief: be yourself - and proud of it - and don't let anybody bully you; because, you will have to deal with narrow minded bullies wherever you go, whatever you do.

For the record, we are four siblings and no resemblance - I'm serious: from a blond with obvious Slavic - or blond Italian - features to someone with dark (olive) skin and dark features. Also, many were born blond in my family and I have had several blond (Armenian) friends and nobody I know raised such doubts about them being as Armenian as the rest.

It depends on where the original Armenian ancestry comes from. Don't forget the term Armenia, or Metcn Hayq, is applied to a geographical area, a vast mountainous area. Thus, the terms Armenia and Hayq are not names of a specific nation/race. In the ancient times many different Aryan and Caucasian tribes lived within the territories of what we now know as Historic Armenia. And most Armenian communities lived isolated from other Armenian communities for thousands of years. In the course of our long national history, many of the different 'proto-Armenian' tribes of the area in question came to be known as Armenians. However, each region kept is unique form of Armenianism, per say. Some were lighter skinned than others, some were more warlike than others, etc.. Obviously, we also have mixed Armenians. We have Russian-Armenian mixes in the Caucasus. And we have Armenian-Assyrian mixes in the Middle East. And lets also take into consideration that during the early stages of Christianity many Persians and other regional Christians became Armenians as well.

Although most pure blooded Armenians today are brunettes many pure bloods are blonds and redheads as well. And one is not more Armenian than the other. You can see allot of blondism in the regions outside of the big cities in Armenia, and it has nothing to do with mixing with Russians. Anyway, blond or brunette, its all irrelevant for me. In an Armenian, I look for decency, intellect and patriotism.
    That goes without saying.

And I do agree with you that Parskahai women are quite attractive
    YES...

Thanks for the clarification. I was shallow here.

What do you mean exactly by Iranians 'absorbing' Armenians?

The koran was recently published in Armenian in Armenia. And Persians and Armenians go back more than 400 yrs. We were fighting long before the the 1600s. And, the population difference is pretty overwhelmingly in the Iranians favor.
Deep down I didn't like the idea but it might have been a pro-Iranian gesture or policy and that's it. Anyway I don't worry much about it since there is so much nonsense and absurdity within Koran that sane individuals will normally not be interested in…

Did you attend the pilgrimmage to Julfa? There are very nice pictures from the recent gathering
Actually I really wanted to attend it, but unfortunately since petrol has been rationed recently, it's not worth going by car from Tehran to Tabriz and on the other hand I could not find a single bus ticket… I should have booked weeks earlier.

I hate to tell you this Lucin, but I opine the Iranians are actually absorbing Armenians. Certainly, there is the whole Iranian female/Armenian male dichotomy. But, on the other side, you do see some action. Iranians are investing in Yerevan. The koran was recently published in Armenian in Armenia. And Persians and Armenians go back more than 400 yrs. We were fighting long before the the 1600s. And, the population difference is pretty overwhelmingly in the Iranians favor.

Are there a lot of Parskahai women in NYC? the ones here in the US are extremely different from the ones in Iran. Iranian Armenians living in Iran are patriotic, productive, and quality Armenians. The majority of the one's in the US..., perhaps its best to end it here.

Yeah that's very much a typical caucasian progression.
