Allergy
Let me elaborate a little bit more why you should be ashamed:
Neither Nevermindname nor myself claimed that Morgenthau denies the genocide. However, Nevermindname made a very powerful point, and showed that even the pro-Armenian, and genocide-recognizing Morgenthau devoted pages to attrocities committed by Armenian militants against civilian Turks.
But of course this is not your approach. Not only genocide-deniers, but also those who point to attrocities committed by Armenians are guilty of treason! Why? You stated it yourself:
The reason behind your paranoia is justified. Even when someone doesn't deny genocide, Morgenthau's account can raise the following questions:
Armed Armenians also killed innocent Turkish civilians?
Armenian militants also pillaged, sucked Turkish villages, quarters and hamlets?
Did these acts, given that most of these Armenians were Ottoman citizens, amount to treason and rebellion?
Indeed, these are dangerous questions with 'G' obsessed people. However, even if the true answer to all these questions is yes, it does not prove or disprove genocide. For once, you should be concerned with the presented facts rather than being paranoid about where these facts will lead you.On the contrary, by denying the Turks the right to be sufferers and victims as well, you are being a true disgrace as I stated before.
Sorry that I don't give a damn whether these quotes were taken from a Turkish, Armenian, or Martian website, what matters is that Morgenthau also wrote about barbarous acts committed by Armenians. Or do you claim that even your semi-God Morgenthau is lying about Turkish sufferings?
About the 'G' word, the Turkish translation is 'soykirim' which means genocide. Soykirim is a popular topic of discussion in Turkey today, and not a taboo like you ignorantly claim. Many academicians use the word, without putting 'sozde' (meaning so-called) in front of it. Some are Halil Berktay, Selim Deringil, Taner Akcam, Murat Belge. With the exception of Akcam, all are tenured professors at prestigious Turkish universities, and they will remain so. They are not banned, threatened or pressured.
Trying to convince the Turks (or the entire world) that the genocide took place is one thing, denying (both verbally and mentally) the Turks the basic human qualities is another. Until you realize this, you are doomed to show allergic reactions whenever Turks present you with facts which you don't like.
