You guys are quite militant when dealing with facts you dislike.

It is very true that today's Russia is more than twice the size of the U.S.A. Ex U.S.S.R was almost triple the size of the U.S, because it had swallowed Central Asian Republics in the mid 19th century, Caucausus (including Armenia) late 19th century, Baltic States after WW2. Eventually it had to spit some of it out. Still, there are parts of Caucausus where the majority of people doesn't want to be part of Russia. (Chechnia, Cherkesia etc...).

So did these countries beg to be part of Russia, or did Russia win these territories in lottery? Or may it be that Russia invaded and forcefully subjugated them because it was expansionist?

Somehow I imagine that every nation is against terrorism and revolution directed against its state. It's a little different to retain one's lands rather than go out looking for other people's lands to conquer.

And considering that Russia has enough trouble trying to retain the lands it already has claims to, why would it want to strech itself even further by expanding elsewhere?

I emphasized some phrases in your post as a response to your claim that we "hate" you eternally without any reasons and then I gave you the reason why we might "hate" you or why this comes across that way. I didn't say you deny the genocide.




I have posted this many times but none of you ever give a damn:

Over 95% out of at least 2200 working Armenian churches accounted for in 1912 by patriarch Ormanian, mentioning location and even priest names, are now destroyed.

According to a 1974 UNESCO account, from the 913 monuments still standing after the genocide 464 were totally destroyed, 252 were turned in ruins and 197 needed serious restoration.

I am preparing a visual thread of these barbarities and you will convince yourselves that the "Azeris" learned their lesson in destruction from their older siblings.

It is an ugly, disturbing, and sad fact that most working Armenian churches were either destroyed, or left to be destroyed by natural causes in Turkey. That probably had to do with cover-up operations, which served the official 'Armenian churches?, what Armenians? I did not see any!' purpose. This very much characterized Turkish official attitude until 1980s. Unfortunately, I did not know about it until recently in order to be able to give a damn!

Lately, however, steps are being taken to correct past injustices. These steps may be too slow, too little, too late for you. Even recognition of genocide may be too little, too late for you. But I wonder why do you spend so much time and effort to trascribe your hate into words, theories, and arguments when nobody knows better than you? Are you here to instruct your fellow Armenians that they should hate today's Turks no matter how responsive, self-critical, and emphatetic they are?

Well, it looks like you don't have a tough job because almost everyone is a Turkhater here, only some don't express it as straightforwardly and violently as you do. So good luck!

What “countries” are you taking about? Chechnya and Cherkesia have been Russian territory throughout history. Their separatist ideology comes from a small militant extremist who are influenced by Islamist, the same low lifes who were running Afghanistan, the same low lifes who got their asses kicked out of Afghanistan by America (), the same low life bend over Islamist who get training and money from Saudi Arabia. I think it is a collective approach anything related with history not only Armenian. Maybe 1% of the real old Istanbul houses left today. The others are either destroyed or left by themselves, they look like ghosts. Until mid 1990s almost all historical buildings including famous mosques and palaces are neglected. Topkapi palace is one of them, hundreds of items are either stolen or left in basement, and they are in terrible condition. The famous fountain in Istinye was in terrible condition big trucks are passing near it, it began to crack. Just one hit by a truck will detroy it. If you walk trhough central Kadikoy and Uskudar you would see just a few half destroyed historic Istanbul houses left, the others are gone. Only in EMinionu peninsula hundreds of Historical buildings are lost, they are in the archives but you can not see them. I think today we can find more old Istanbul style houses in Balkans than in Istanbul, and this is realy sickening.
I dont think this approach is unique to Armenian heritage. Armenians rightfully agonize over this, but Turkish heritage is not treated differently.

Having said that, I dont think Hellektor's concern is those historic buildings. He has only one concern, to hate and insult Turks. He would prefer AKdamar church rather be destroyed instead be renewed, so he could go on insulting us. I dont think he deserves a response either, just a waste of time. He is born to hate us.

I fully understand your geo-history of “Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Chechnya, Armenia, …etc). But you can not mix apples with oranges. Chechnya is a centrally located peace of real estate in the mother land Russia. There is no historical distinct identity associated with Chechens, other than a regional identity, except that recently acquired and amplified Islamic identity that was absent and nullified during USSR. It is this Islamist identity that craves independence. An enforced identity which is due to militant, extremist, terrorist, Islamists (no disrespect to many peaceful Moslems) who get their agenda, orders, and money from outside Chechnya sources.

Put yourself in the place of Russia; how would you feel if a stranger comes and occupies the center of your living room (a small spot), a stranger who has beliefs hostile to yours? Is that ok with you, since Independence of Chechnya is!
