ISSUE OF AZERIS' VANDALISM IN OLD JUGHA ON AGENDA OF BRITISH HOUSE OF LORDS

LONDON, DECEMBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The issue of
Azeris' vandalism towards Armenian khachkars of Old Jugha (Nakhijevan)
is on the agenda of the House of Lords of Great Britain as an issue
demanding a written response. According to the "Marmara" daily of
Istanbul, the initiators of discussion of the issue are Baroness
Caroline Cox and John Marks. Baroness Cox addressed a claim to the
Government of Great Britain to discuss possibility of expressing
anxiety by the UNESCO concerning liquidation of ancient Armenian
churches and other cultural values in Azerbaijan.
