Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Eti did you ever heard that first socialist party active in territory of turkey/Ottoman Empire was an Armenian party? But that is true, like a lot of other things you never heard of.

That's why the socialists Turks (the real ones not the fascist) value and treasure us Armenians, because of that reason.Eti is unfortunately is one of those majority of Turks that doesn't know hes a Fasho.

I am not a native speaker but at least for me, the word "reason" is more like a word that points out a natural cause that will inevitably result in the same events. If something is wrongly executed, the reason hardly matters. The things happened in past can show us why other events happened, but it should not be mentioned as "justifications" of wrongly done actions. The way to approach it, is to analyze whether another action was possible to solve problem at hand differently. Be sure, similar problems would occur again, then if you know how "not to solve" it, you are one step closer to a better way.

And while speaking about events that are associated with death tolls, one should be more selective about the words, and expressions. "Small price" is such an example.

Re: New pogrom against the Armenians and Greeks in Istanbul?

Thanks for your replies, I read them but I want to continue. "Why we deported Christians."

I am putting a simple quote from a very reliable source written by W. J. Childs. Childs were an English agent traveled Anatolia at the beginning of 20th century and wrote a book about his journey. His book’s name is “ACROSS ASIA MINOR ON FOOT”. This man, as an English agent, objectively wrote many things about that time. The book really helps to understand what was happening in Anatolia at the beginning of 20th century.

              Quote:

“Greek and Armenian hate the Turk as oppressor, but they hate each other also with rancorous hatred of jealous equals”.

              W. J. CHILDS (Chapter 26, page 298)

Though I leave the comments to you, I totally believe he is right. If you read the book, you’ll see that the author mentions about a constant conflict between Turks, Armenians and Anatolian Greeks. That is the bells were ringing for the RUPTURE of RELATIONS between three nations. It was time for a breakage that we understand from the book that these three nations cannot live together any more on the land of Anatolia. Childs obviously suggest that Turks, Armenians and Greeks were scuffling continiously.

It is very simple, no need to be a genious to understand what was happening. Armenians wanted to found their own independent state in the East Anatolia and were rebelling against Turks (in fact, to say Muslims is more correct). Afterwards, Anatolian Greeks wanted to come under the rule of Greece, so they helped and supported the invasion of Greek army in the Western Anatolia.

Have you ever thought that if Western Anatolia came under the control of Greece and if there was an Armenian State in Eastern Anatolia, what would happen to Turks? To form new states on those lands, you had to have the majority of populations you know. But you haven’t. So you would never host us with candies in your new lands. Though I don’t want to make speculations, I believe with all my heart that Turks managed to escape from huge massacres with a little harm. Because, I am afraid Armenians and Greeks with their great excitement due to having new lands and with their new motivations, they would expand great energies on massacres of Turks or Muslims for sure.

It is really understandable that no one would love to live together with uneducated Muslims (no kidding) while Christians were being educated at their, or at American schools in Anatolia. (even in Sivas etc. there was an American school).

Yes, we did wrong, I am not asserting the contrary at all. But the wrong thing is not pure and one-sided, as most of you always blame us, I tell you that everything is mutual on this bloody world.

And I know I have faschistic opinions but I had told years ago on this site that (if they like) I personally want Diaspora Armenians to come Turkey to live here after giving them some properties and making them Turkish citizens as well. Of course our faschists woudn’t want this. If they like they can sell their properties and live in another country. But real faschists wouldn’t want this for sure, would they?

Edit: For example; Anatolian Greeks didn't just helped The Greek Army, some of them also abused or killed Turks too.

Wrong again. Massacre is a turkish way of resolving problem. It is understandable why you make such hypotheses as it is part of your mentality.
Well not all nations are barbaric try to understand that.

I think you didn’t read it from beginning to end, except Child’s words. Anyway forget it. But life is simple, so questions and their aswers as well. There are no walking Schopenhauers or Einsteins in the streets of our cities, towns or villages all around the world, just simple-minded people trying to make money to live.

I have no idea about your politcal view, but we (daha çok abilerimiz, Deniz Gezmiş leri bilirsin belki), (that is our older comrades with Kurds too) wanted to create a Socialist Turkey for everyone to live together but we (they) failed. Then K. Evren made a fascist military coup in 1980.

We had woken up years ago and now I personally am preparing to get back to new sleep. Because everything has changed a lot in this Wild Capitalist World. So life isn’t worth doing such actions again.

It is so weird that there is an Islamic Party that has been the most Liberal in Turkish Republic’s history. It seems they will solve the problems, at least a bit.

NOW PLEASE REPLY MY QUESTION HONESTLY:

DOES ARMENIAN DIASPORA WANT A SOLUTION BETWEEN TURKEY AND ARMENIA?
