Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

      Re: single question?

Just saw the History Channels 2hr special on the Ottoman Empire ... wow

Is it just me or is the Muslim religion the most violent dogma in the world or WHAT? I digress ... all I wanted to say was that I thought that it was interesting that the 600+ yr reign of the Ottomans pretty much ended after they committed the atrocities against the Armenian ppl ... in fact historically, shortly following genocide, the country responsible seems to take a major nose dive. Interesting huh? Well the Urks picked the wrong side on that war that time no doubt. They may have sacked Constantinople but they couldn't save their over-inflated empire from collapsing all around them. Oh but they made such strong leaders by practicing filicide!! They are the human equivalent of the Klingons!

For the person talking about mass Urk graves perhaps those graves were some remaining bodies from the battle of Gallipoli? A crapload of ppl died on both sides and I don't know about you but if I were left holding the shovel I dig one big ass grave for the lot of 'em ... even if I were Urkish.

It's funny as time passes how little we remember ... like during the genocide how many newspapers and foreign diplomats reported the atrocities and how much was published. One American who WITNESSED THE EVENT stated that in the history of modern man there had never been a crime against humanity on the level he saw first hand against the Armenians. To this day they call the deportation they enacted on the Armenian ppl an ethnic cleansing ... like that makes it all good ... How about the quote from Hitler where he was defending his right to slaughter Ews something to the effect of "Look what they did to the Armenians, they won't care about what we're doing" to paraphrase slightly, or majorly.

Oh and who was the Turkish leader Atta whatever that banned the Fez, changed the Turkish alphabet to mimic wetsern languages/greek alphabet and all in all sold out his entire country after the war ended? They still hold a moment of silence for this fool to this day ... "Oh thanks for selling us all out! Can I get on my knees and pucker up to the West some more plz?!?" Imo the Urks lost whatever heinous culture they might have had in the first place after WWI ended. Why do the Urks here think that they, as part of the peace treaty, had to give lands back to the Armenians? Possibly because that is where we resided going as far back as ancient Rome and further. Stolen from us by the Ottomans when they were going nutz on a world conquest. A whole bunch of lands were rightfully given back to the indigenous ppl of those areas and rightfully so!

Imperialism has never worked although America has a more sinister and devious approach ... we'll conquer the world through the exportation of our culture that everyone wants a piece of. You can have your own country but YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED INTO THE AMERICAN CULTURAL IDEAOLOGY!! MUHUHAUHAUahahahahaaaaaa Hell the Urks were the one of the first to jump on that bandwagon! They couldn't wait to sell out their culture.

Evidence won't change the mind of a Urk because they are conditioned to never admit wrongdoing from childhood. I can imagine the BS stories their parents tell them filling their little pathetic minds with this spineless denial propaganda they will spew out ad nausum for the rest of their miserable little lives. It's all learned behavior and these Urks who come here just solidify this argument for me ...

For a challenge why don't you Urks argue the other side of the coin? ... ya know for the sake of your own argumentative development skills and being able to think freely and outside of the "match" box all of their collective brains seem reside in. Go out there and see how much evidence you can find to support the Armenians "claim" of genocide. Alas I'm afraid none of you are open minded enough to EVER even THINK about doing what I just stated which really just illustrates the fact that your thoughts are not your own. If the Urks ever realized that we Armenians are righteous in our assertions the Urks fragile little world would crumble around them as they would see that the historic lessons they have been taught are based on nothing more than lies and pride derived from nationalism.

If nothing else grow a backbone and take some responsibility for what your ppl have done historically speaking. By lying about it you join the ranks of your murderous ancestors and you might as well have been right there pulling the trigger or raping Armenian women! Seriously you Urks should, as we say here in the States, MAN-UP! Which for those of you in Urkey in this case means to grow up, be a man and take responsibility for your countries history. We did here in America ... maybe we should have a support group like AA ... it would go like this ...

U.S.: "Hi my name is Uncle Sam and, well I killed many Africans and Native Americans, err to name a few groups, in the name of nationalism ... I'm ashamed FORGIVE ME!!"

... then the Germans and Serbians would do their thing sobbing like little girlie men heheh until finally the newcomer to the group would stand up ...

Urkey: "Hello my name is Urkey"
      Group: "Hi Urkey"
Urkey: "This is my first time here and I finally want to be free of the burden that has weighed on my shoulders for sooo long now ...I ... I ... am ... a a genocidist!"
      Group:**SIGHS**

Well I'm sure there's a joke in their somewhere maybe it would have been better with the Urk running out of the support group meeting and into a playground where it sticks its head into a sandbox!

Just man up already BE A MAN, BE A MAN!! lol Grow a backbone for Gods sake ... er Allah whoever your militant deity is ...

                Good comeback

Seriously though. Simple yes or no questions:
Do you seriously believe what's on that website, or what the government feeds you guys? Would you put your life on its validity? Would you put your mom's life? Your sister's life? Every single Turkish life on earth? Isn't it A LITTLE strange how historians from all around the world have proof beyond any doubt on what occurred during the era, yet it still counteracts with what the Turkish government is pushing for as being fact?

Again, simple yes or no questions.

YES...it is certainly strange... I really wonder that where are these historians? and although these historians all over the world have proof (in your opinion), how cant they explain the realities for a long time? And why was the suggestion of Türkiye’s (assembling an international comission and opening archives) in 11 March 2005 refused by the Armenian foreign Minister Oskanyan? or Why does the side of armenia only refuse and dont suggest anything in the international relations? Also, I wonder that Is Justin McCarthy among these historians you mentioned about?

It seems that you’ve never been to any other discussion forums, but if you had looked carefully, you would have noticed that one post (even addressed to one person) could be answered by many people.

This could be a good sign, you are giving my suggestion back to myself but I’m not in your condition, I’m happy that you took it seriously and obviously it has worked for you pretty well.
