Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Words, sentences are easy to manipulate, unless u have a strong ability to use them carefully, this one i don't have much, especially against u replyin guys who dosn't want to discuss but win!

I would do something i hate, but just curious what will come next, so i respond step by step:

    Sip

    1. The things i've said, the points i make have absolutely nothing to do with my knowledge of history. I haven't made any historical point. I made exemples of a simple person who doesn't know anything about history.

    2. When talkin to conspiracies, i even put the Planet stuff, just to make it spicy, it was JUST SOME WARM UP, TO MAKE THIS CONVERSATION MORE FRIENDLY.

    3. I said "I was thaught NOTHING but geography about your nation". Which points to the fact that Turkish people are not educated in any way towards Armenians. How come after these words u are able to write "Just because they only taught you "geography" in school doesn't mean they told you everything in school " Did i said/mean that? HOW?

    4. This part of this forum proves its a debate

    5. I'm talkin about people Turkish and Armenian people! The problems between two people.
    Not governments.
"Cover-Ups" are between governments.. Don't your government has any cover-ups against any other country? Even against their own citizens? All the countries have their own interests, including sorry wrong word ESPECIALLY the ones who you guys are collaborating in your cause..

But CAN FRENCH OR ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT MAKE ME BELIEVE SOMETHING COVERED UP BY MY GOVERNMENT?

CAN FRENCH OR TURKISH GOVERNMENT MAKE U BELEIVE SOMETHING COVERED UP BY YOUR GOVERNMENT???

do you understand what i mean?

I, ME, MYSELF, AND I WANT SOME1, SOMETHING ELSE TO PROVE ME THIS GENOCIDE WAS THERE. OTHER THEN GOVERNMENTS WHO xxxx UP THE WORLD

Anyway i hate this, skip this part.

    GMD

    My points are:

    * I don't refuse but neither accept this Genocide thing, 'cos I DON'T KNOW. I said "this doesnt change my life i dont care" to make point that I HAVE NO INTEREST ON REFUSING IT, NOR CHANGE YOUR OPINION...

    * I think that this Genocide stuff, again in again, Western EU countries discussing it, again and again, SOME FUNNY LAWS, again and again DOES NOTHING BUT MAKE TR and ARM PEOPLE HARDER TO REUNITE.

    * And, the MOST IMPORTANT PART
Why do you talk about cover ups, Turkish progress, knowing history bla bla instead of making the point

    WHAT DO YOU WANT

"..an apologize, a fact to be admitted, a crime to be named" ?????

    THEN WHAT JUST ANSWER THIS!

    SOME LANDS BACK?

    Kiddin' right

"But if u wanna change your destiny? Change it yourself!

You dream for someone else to breakdown a good Company, establish a new one instead, and make you the owner

The good company is a GOOD one, and the GUY, he says that you'll be the owner, but doesn't give a xxxx about you

Work hard, upgrade your league, and come to play with these guys yourself!"

THE REASON I'M HERE IS TO KNOW

    WHAT DO YOU WANT?
    FRANKLY..

If you really want to find out if it was a genocide, I would encourage you to stop wasting your time on this forum and get out and read about it. Check out sources that are not supported by the Armenian or Turkish Government. You'll find that the vast majority subscribe to the fact of the Genocide but find out why.

We are not here to educate or debate you nor is that really the purpose of this site. Debating you regarding the genocide only increases or anger and humiliates us. Why? Our people suffered because of yours and in addition to all that was taken away from us interms of relatives, property, homeland, etc. you call us liars. Would you ask a Bosnian to debate a Serb or a xxx to debate Nazi?

If your intent is really to learn, good for you. If your intent is to be patronizing then you should probably leave.

For years, Armenians have gotten to know the official Turkish thesis quite well and we've seen it change gradually. It used to be that the Turks denied any massacres at all, then it transformed into the civil war theory and soon it will change again.

What do we want? Most Armenians want a formal apology from your state, the inheritors of the Ottoman Empire and perhaps some reparations from Armenians that lost property and wealth that was appropirated from them. A small minority want territory.

Regarding your advice, Armenians are holding there own in this quest for Genocide recognition and I can only imagine how much more successful we would be if we were more unified.

      Debate:

Yes, allowing historians with differing views to debate a film's premise helps increase understanding.

No, if PBS believed the documentary was accurate, it didn't need to provide airtime to critics.

So now we see your true nature. Armenians are hoping to get what rightfully belongs to them back. If I was to kill your familly and steal your home and evict you, I imagine you would want to have me judged and you would want your property back. We want the genocide recognized by other nations so they know what your people have done. Whether or not you recognize it does not change that or hinder our efforts. It does not even matter if we make peace, we owe you nothing. And last time I checked, Armenians worldwide are not a "Government". This is not about politics, it is about justice.

The message up was not a reply to you, i was writing it before u, it made me really angry when i saw the quoted thread.

Anyway you are absolutely right, "Debating you regarding the genocide only increases or anger ", humiliation is something about your pride, i can't say anything about it.. See debating increased my anger too..

I hope this conflict would end someday, and both sides will restore economical, cultural and other relations asap. For to good of two people, 'cos even if you get some lands , we will still be your neighbor

My grandfather and grandmother was born in Selanik (Thessaloniki), Greece.. 70 million people livin in Turkey, half of them are comin from ex-ottoman countries

Should i ask some real-estate in Greece? Or should they ask Izmir back? As they did @ end of 1st war 2 for reasons of a thousand years old?

Lands now are made by war, should we ask some land for how many years? 10? 100? 1000? 10000?

            This is difficult bro.

All we can do is to keep them, and try to progress with what we have.. Otherways there is always a conflict, always WAR

When did I claim I voted for anything or anyone on this forum for that matter? Furthermore, I am all for the open exchange of information. Before you finger point at Armenians, you can begin by fingerpointing your righteous enclave called Turkey.

Blah, blah, blah. At least make sense if you want an intelligent response. Put yourself in my shoes. What would you want? What would you do to avenge your murdered relatives? What would you do to the thieves that robbed your family? What would you do to the "thief" living next door who thinks he can hurt you by keeping bread from reaching your hungry relatives? Puts troops on your border to say don't try and take back Nakichevan too. Fortunes change in this world all the time. Armenians have been down and now we have a chance to come back up.
