For myself, I'll watch "Garden State"...a friend copied it on DVD for me...it's not even out in the movie here lol....
Thanks, I think I will enjoy them both.

You know next time you want to see a movie you should just tell someone here to copy the DVD and send it to you. If I had Garden State I'd send it to you, since it's so easy to copy DVDs now.

      • Cold Mountain, I finally saw it last night on tv. I wanted to see it for the longest time, and I have to say I am very glad I did. I very much enjoyed it. On a scale from 1-10 I give it a 9.

            Friday, January 14 -
Begins at 7:30 PM with a Double Feature. First is HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS (SHI MIAN MAI FU) (2004, China, Focus Features, 119 min.). Next is THE
MOTORCYCLE DIARIES (DIARIOS DE MOTOCICLETA) (2004, Focus Features, 128 min.). Adapted from the travel diaries of pre-Cuban-Revolutionary Che
            Guevara.

Directors Zhang Yimou (HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS) and Walter Salles
(DIARIOS DE MOTOCICLETA) will introduce the screenings.

            Exciting!!
House of Flying Daggers was EXCELLENT. I really loved it. It had a very good plot/story line and of course the martial arts and beauty of the settings were incredible.

I also liked Motorcycle Diaries. I really want to go to Maccu Piccu now and see the Inca citadel ruins and travel through the beauty of South America that is such a sad contrast with the poverty stricken state of a lot of South Americans... It was a great film.

I thought 'Bad Education' was very well written and directed. The subject matter was interesting, to say the least, and far more than just the sex. Of course Gael Garci Bernal looks good doing anything and I love pretty much everything Pedro Almodovar does. The characters in the movie had so many different layers and so much going on with them, so much sadness, I think it was pretty good, thought provoking.
