If Isael had anything resembling a conscience it would put a bullet in its own brain! The ut.ter inhumanity of that state which is based on lies, manipulation and mass murders should make anyone including Israelis question the value of such a state. They rounded up countless young man and put them in jails for years simply because they are palastinians and for no other reason. That state has so much blood , shame , and guilt on its hands that no matter how many prisoners it releases it will never be seen as anything good on this earth

I'm amazed israel agreed to release so many Palestinian prisoners.

Israel's position of power over Palestine is akin to a boy with a magnifying glass trying to burn ants. It can capture 1000 other Palestinians within a few months or it can kill 1000 other Palestinians within a couple of months (like the Gaza war/massacre from a few years ago).

Having said that, some of the names to be released were considered untouchables which surprised many. I guess the extremists currently in power in the Israeli government needed to score a victory as they have been growing deeply unpopular lately due to the economy and lack of updates on Shalit.

It's not the first time hundreds or thousands have been released in lopsided trades by Israel but this is the highest "price" it has payed over 1 POW soldier.
