Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

        Internet

It bothers me when an application doesnt work or when a website lags. Because then you have to figure out whats wrong with it & fix it & just takes up so much of your time. For example, last night I was playing (yahoo) pool & for some reason everytime I looked @ my profile there was an exclamation point on the side I tried everything then the java version I had was a new one & I guess it wasnt compatiable with yahoo pool so uninstall /reinstall a new one then it worked, it's just such a hassle.

          Speaking of internet...

I hate when I miss something on a checkout form and it resets everything so I have to put in ALL the info again (e.g. name, address, phone number, cc number, etc).

Those little tags on pillows and blankets and stuff, that say 'do not remove'. Why not? Will it fall apart? Is there an alarm attached? Come on, those are so dumb!

Rubber bands that break and snap your hand when you just had a REALLY good shot at that annoying person across the room.

            Hard Mentos.

People who try to be something they aren't to fit in. In which case, they aren't fitting in, because everyone can tell they are posers! (oops!, minds wandering)

Siblings that tell on you for something and get you in trouble. Don't they realize they are only going to make it harder on themselves when they get older?!

Pillows that get all the fluffy stuff pushed out of one corner.

Dentist flouride. I realize there are a few deranged people out there who like this- those people scare me!

People who scream and yell, when they know it bothers you!

When your imaginary friend refuses to talk to you. =0)

When people don't sign guestbooks. Why do they think it's there?! Just so you can say you have it?! I don't think so!!

Winnie the Pooh- sorry all you pooh-lovers, but he bugs me!!

I guess that's it for now......This is really a thread I should stay out of LOL.

I hate the feeling you have when you know you just did awful on an exam.

I also hate the feeling when that same exam is returned back to you.

I had the wonderful opportunity to experience this twice today.

Bus drivers - they ALWAYS seem to be in a bad mood, have a habit of not stopping for people, even for women and old folk, running after them and they drive like they own the streets.

People who have kids in their late teens or early 20's. Also, people who have kids while they are in college. Hm, having a job and trying to get a degree and start a career is not hard enough... let me have a baby too.

People who start talking to you about something completely random that you don't give a sh*t about, and don't know when to stop.

Caffeine addicts who pretend to have the moral highground on addicts of other drugs. You're basically a speed addict.

People who call you, and start talking right away about their product/service for literally 2 minutes, and then ask you if the owner of the house is in, to which you reply, "No". Although I must admit, its amusing to feel the disappointment in their voices when they say "do you know when they'll be in?". Serves them right for not asking. So cross that one out, I actually like it.

When people ask me "why don't you have a facebook?".... ya I understand people want to keep in touch... thats why phones and email were introduced to the public some years ago. Or I don't know... maybe we can... hang out?!?

Taking a shower and realizing right after that you need to take a sh*t.

Kids who go door-to-door selling magazine subscriptions for scholarships. Ya kid, I'm pretty sure I don't want to pay for newsweek or sports illustrated.

The schools who send kids door-to-door to sell magazine subscriptions for scholarships. A form of child labor posing as an extra-curricular activity.

People who have a piercing on their lip, who play with it while they talk to you. I don't think they realize how close they are to getting slapped.

Counselors who don't know what the hell they're talking about, and end up costing you valuable months of your life.

So, so true! I was going to start a thread about this but I was also going to incorporate that fact that so many Armenians do this.

I also hate the fact that Armenian (girls, mainly) get married so young. I feel like every girl I hear about is married and/or has kids... and they're under 25!!
