There should be high paying jobs for spell checking if there isn't already. The job would consist of just browsing forums and blogs all day and making corrections, as I will demonstrate below.

      Spelling corrections:

      "whether"
      "it's"
      "programmer"
      "that's"
      Achkerov kute.

Irrelevant what you do as long you have a sense of business.
First lesson .... work for yourself.

When I was younger, one thing that always frustrated me was that I felt my employers were underpaying me for my abilities. When I finally came to my senses and started doing my own thing, I was making much more money, setting my own hours, and my clients respected me for my abilities rather than my boss judging me for my age. Sadly, once I finished my bachelor's in engineering, I wasn't able to find a job that would pay near what I was making. And the field I was in had nothing to do with my degree.

Not everyone is able to do it (run a business), but for those that have the sense, and can work it well, it's great (no matter the field). Although I'm no longer in the field (back in school), I feel in America at least, education is the top priority, and having the right sense combined with the right education.....that's where the money is.

Interestingly enough, I know a couple of plumbers and carpenters that will surprise even the most well to do doctors/lawyers with the amount of money they were making.

The average pay for "spell checking" is between $12.00 to $15.00 per hour ... you will be laid-off once year. That will get you places.
A barber could easily make over $200.00 cash per day in a small town.
A plumber (start your won) could average over $100.000 a year, if you have some business sense.

Yeah, plumbers, electritians, and general repairmen actually make a lot more than most people think. Get a skill like that if you want to make a good amount of money in a fairly secure job.

                  Re: Where The $$$ Is...

This thread is meaningless. It's the same thing as using Google to find the "highest paying jobs." There is no set limit for some jobs. As Azad said, a barber can make $200 cash but make nothing but $20 on another day.

Consider a film director's career: He can work on an indepdent feature film and get $10,000 over the course of 2-3 months. With a sudden turn of events, he can bumped up to direct a Hollywood feature and negotiate a $1 million contract on his first project.

There isn't the "best" or "highest paying" job. There's only the right job and what you love to do. Everything else is secondary; do you want to be a plumber? You can make $200,000 a year but do you want to become one? Do you want to be a painter? You can make millions of dollars or die hungry in a broken home.
