Fire jan, it's interesting how you keep referring to God as "He, HIM", who established the fact that he's a man? Besides, we all help ourselves, if things turn out in your favor it's because you believed in yourself first. So perhaps sometimes you don't need to delegate the power of change on God, but instead rely on the strength within yourself. I guarantee it will have the same effect.

Well said Anileve, God doesnt mean he is an existence. OF course
when u belive in something and u wish it very deeply its going to become true. Cos every person has a god in him/her. its just a way that i interpret when i say i believe Him.

to Spiral: my name is not Ani,

P.S.i think i said im not fanatical religious follower im against being fanatic to anything, specially in religions.

Im only fanatic about being HYE

Very nice! And I am glad you are not one of those people who refer to everything as "Because the Bible tell me so", now that is fanatical.

Now since you do believe in God, how about personalizing it a little bit and substituting "HIM" for "HER" or "SHE", it is possible to believe in a Goddess, since it's your own faith and you are free to chose how you interpret it. My God is of a female gender.

            okay .
you guys are way out of control.
why don't people just accept other people as they are.
Anileve , how can you tell Fire to believe in herself instead of believing in God so much?
fire, how can you compare nationalism to religiousness?
people come from different places, they've had different experiences, so they've formed their own beliefs about things (physical and metaphysical)
I think Spiral said it best.
            God is a belief.
it's a power in our minds.
            it's not an existence.

Actually I have to say that maybe God is a female read this Anileve:

God asks Eve: Whats wrong dearest Eve, why are you sad, I made you and I gave you this beautiful paradise.
              and
Eve says: Well my dearest God, yes u did give me all those heavenly thing, but I am alone!!! I would like to have someone next to me, maybe someone different than me.
God says No problem babe, I will create a man, I will make from your "kogerits" but this is the thing, we have to lie him!!!
              Eve says :why
God: we'll tell him that he is the first human, you were created from his "koger". And that would be our little secret woman to woman

              so nothing is impossible

I think the concept of "cause and effect" may or may not have been valid pre big bang. It is not necessarilly true that the laws of physics have always been static, and the idea that there must have been cause for effect, although logical in our world, may not have applied. I personally subscribe to the theory that there never was "nothing," and that after billions of years of casual or non-casual movement, everything perfectly came together to form our solar system.

I don't belive that a supernatural being created the universe, but I really have no evidence to support any particular theory and none that I've heard make any logical sense to me, the one that I subscripe to I do very loosely, and the rules of logic tell me to wait for a lot more evidence before I accept anything.

For some there is a GOD for others there isn't.

That which exists exists independant of conscious human thought. If God exists, the death of every human on earth isn't going to change that, nor will trees, cars or clouds cease to exist.

Existence is an axiom, you cannot deny it without accepting it and arriving at a contraction, "I think therefore I am." One cannot create God by beliveing in it anymore than I can create a BMW in my drive way by thinking about it.

Every question, aside from those of art, has a right and a wrong answer, someone in the debate of God is right and someone is wrong.

Logic tells us that positive assertsions require evidence, and the universe is somewhere around 40 billion years old, I think if God existed there would be some evidence and direct linkage by now...I'm an atheist until someone provides me with proof.

the reason there is no god is because there is no logic behind it, and without logic it cannot be
