Gott ist tot? Although he is the grandfather, Fred was wrong. God is very much alive for everybody. You are God. Worship yourself. You create your own reality and power over reality is a dimension of God. You create pain and suffering, you create joy and elation, you create indifference... The existence of any other God is dependant on you and therefore you are the God of gods. The world began when you were born. Reality became significant when you had the capacity to remember it.
Do you protect your God? Of course you do, you divine little being. I could just pinch your cheek for being such a beautiful deity. If a person slaps your cheek, what do you do? You knock him unconscious! You scar his countenance so he remembers that you are God! You do not turn your other cheek! Who are you to belittle yourself!? This is your world.
When men give up their throne to an external, less worthy God, they become stupid. Blaise Pascal became stupid: a summary of his infamous wager says that if one does not believe in the Christian God and He exists, the nonbeliever will be deprived of His fruits; but if one believes and the Christian God does not exist, then the believer experiences no loss. This man's intellectual quotient was most probably thirty points above my own. Should I attribute the lack of logic to culture? I could. I could also attribute it to the adopted meekness of a ceded throne, a pathetic king on his final black and white bed after ten moves.
The truth is, you do not know the nature of an afterlife because the possiblities are infinite, with many contradictions that make the defining of another life entirely irrelevant. It is for this reason, that this is your life and you must live it as a God would. You respect those who deserve your nod, you humble those who disrespect you, and you smile on every one of your birthdays because they are anniversaries of the best day the universe ever saw.
