Mine is Karen (guess my gender). Have no idea what it means and the damn name gives me enough trouble here in US. The only time it was useful was when telemarketers would call with phony products/services and ask to speak to my wife (I don't have one). I think the origins of Karen are pagan and non-Armenian (maybe Persian or Assyrian).
As far as others' names, I always thought Arman was a variation on Armen. For example Arabs call us "Armani".
