Well, I'm the only one on my dad's side of the family who doesn't have an Armenian name... my name is of Celtic/Welsh origin and some say it means "pure and yielding, white wave/spirit" (I'm more pinkish pale than white )

Hmm, apparently you are correct, it's Hebrew. I had always figured it was a corruption of the Irish "anois," which means "now." I wondered why anyone would use that as a name.
