Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

    We are not normal.

    How many people do you know spend their time on internet forums? We are not normal. Not that being not normal is bad. Arent there better things to do?

    Sorry to burst your bubble, but I believe no one is normal. I don't think you can classify someone to be normal, because it would all be a matter of opinion. And as for the forums thing, It can just be another hobby for some of us, just like how you surf and I BMX, It's some type of entertainment for us all. I'm sure others have more complex reasons or very simple reasons for foruming. But I have to say I always have enjoyed these forums in a different way because It's populated with Armenian posters and seeing that I am in "Germania", I'm kind of at a loss (culturewise) and have a hunger for it. So it helps me a lot.

      definetly, I love this forum. Damn, I could be outside right now, what the hell am I doing inside taking these seriously. There is a definition of normal. To me, I am normal. To other people not participating in this forum, we are kooks with no social life. I have a social life, but whatever. Maybe some of my social life is here in these forums. Is that normal? How do you define normal?

      PS. Is the food, and beer good over there?

        The food isn't bad,I sure could use a Denny's every once in while though. But the beer is awsome. Best beer I've ever had.

          I agree with Andro on Normal... it's always relative.
          when it comes to foruming... I just do it when i'm at work and i'm bored..
          it's awesome cuz you get to share opinions with people you don't know. I wouldn't do it with my "social life friends" cuz I know them.
          and Andro I kept thinking you're from OC.. what r u doing in Germany?? lol

            I am from OC... I'm just gonna be in Germania for another 3 1/2 yrs... I'm pretty sure I stated in my AC profile that I'm in the Army

              Being on the forums is not about being normal. Too many people blacklist and frown upon people who go on the internet, or meet a date from the internet, or post on an internet forum. Somehow those people with "superior social lives" look down on those who partake on the goods of technology.

              You know what's hard about the internet communication? People's obvious stupidity would surface if they dared post on forums, as can be witnessed from the onslaught of the Armenian rappers here. It takes quite a bit of intelligence and thought to make logical posts and not get your ass twisted for it. Thus I believe many people cannot come up with any coherent content or topics and so avoid it and make fun of those that do. They would prefer to stick to "chillin with muh friends" or simply just chatting in a chatroom, which doesn't take much really. It's more about "ASL" "LOL" "LMAO" and other acronyms. Chatting is really just abbreviated dialogue and doesn't require much intelligence. After getting the ASL info, you most likely resort to more chatting in the manner of private chats and even that isn't hard since its mostly bragging and asking questions.

              But to come to a forum and formulate your ideas and defend your topics, etc etc, takes some intelligence and effort which most aren't ready to or can't give.
