Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

It is a matter of supply and demand and the more the demand for certain quality of products (like organic) increases the less it will be necessary to have factories that keep chickens and cows in such horrible conditions.Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad thing that people choose to speak out against certain things, as long as they adopt the practice completely, rather than doing it because it's the thing to do at the moment. Case in point: Pamela Anderson is known for speaking out against the inhumane practices of such chicken farms and is proud to be a vegetarian or whatever she is, but in the next picture she is wearing freaking Uggs, uglies, whatever those things are called. I guess someone forgot to tell her where sheepskin comes from. Give me a break!
I agree with you. The idea of eating animals bothers me a little, but that's not why I've started eating more "non-meat" products and less meat. Mostly it's because it's healthier. You get like a third or less fat and zero cholesterol.
And those uglies are so warm and comfy! What if you put your pants over them instead of tucking them in?

That is untrue. That is a false insinuation based on no evidence. If you study medieval Europe you would clearly see the diet of both the peasants as well as the lordly class. Don't make things up without knowledge. Have you ever heard of the Inuit peoples, or better known as Eskimos, who eat raw meat? 'Organic' food is an illusion, especially those who run to the 'Soy' train. Soy is harmful.

anywho, i think we should be careful about the meat we eat and no there arent any additional things that are in the meat that arent in other vegetables, and if there are any all i have to say is that the ARMENIAN people have survived on vegetarian food for thousands of years i think i can continue the tradition...
Armenian people are meat eaters my newbie friend. Meat has always been part of the human diet way before "vegetarianism" reared its ugly head. I do not have a problem with people who want to eat only vegetables, but when they start to spout the silly bromide of the "evils" of meat, and how "it's only recent we eat so much meat" I feel I have a duty for every carniverous human out there to speak out.

I am telling you people, go organic.
I knoooow, it's in the video, it talks about how weak their muscles get cause they never walk and all that! So sad, but honestly I don't think me not consuming milk will change that, I think milk is an essential part of a healthy diet and very important for young women... I don't wanna have osteoporosis when I get old! So make sure with your organic diet, you get enough calcium and vitamin D. I'll go organic + milk, how's that? ... No one supports me, they all think I'm gonna look anorexic in a couple of months, haha.

Yeah, Pam is an animal rights activist... Are you sure she was wearing fur?? Is she blonde or something?

Milk is also essential for when you watch Looney Tunes. I always loved milk and Cocoa Puffs.

Humans are omnivore: we have canines in order to eat meat, our eyes are placed that we look straigh ahead instead of on the sides to watch out for predators.

Humans, since nomadic times, have eaten Meat. There is nothing wrong with eating meat, however, if you have some problem with torchering cows, just because you do not eat them does not mean they are going to be released or anything. Do something about it veggies, and open some farms where animals are treated respectively and not like machines.

In Armenia, all over the countrysides, cows and chickens graze in the open spaces and get slaughtered by hand just like it has been done when man roamed around.

If you eat correctly, get proper excercise, you will live a healthy life. Not eating meat does not secure anything.
