  • Model Awarded 15.6 Million in Nestle Lawsuit

Russell Christoff was shopping in 2002 when he saw a familiar face on the Taster's Choice label... His! He had done a photoshoot in 1986 for $250 with 2000 more to come if they chose to use it. He forgot all about it and never heard from Nestle.

He filed suit for unauthorized use and profit of his image. Nestle offered to settle for 100,000 he refused. Christoff offered to settle for 8.5 million and Nestle refused, but last week LA Superior Court awarded him 15.6 million.

Christoff is a 2nd year Kindergarten teacher and is keeping his day job since Nestle is appealing the decision.

What I don't understand is how he could go almost twenty years without seeing a Taster's Choice product.

Just yesterday I was looking at the design of the Taster's Choice label and wondered..... wow.... I wonder if the guy in this picture is still alive, seeing how it appeared like an old picture to me.

All of a sudden.... BAM.... I hear that he got 15 million for this.

Hmmm.... maybe I should buy the lotto. *Scratches Chin*
