Well...in the house I grew up in my mother did it all. I was very interested in learning to cook (Armenian particualrly) - but she would (always) throw me out!
Now with my family (where both my wife and I work full time...) - I basically do 90% of the cooking (though she is more of the baker in the house...) and we split clean-up type of things fairly evenly. Though no one washes dishes like I do - having done so in restaraunts for 6 years and just being good (quick) at it. Another thing that I do - which is perhaps unusual for (married) males - is that I pretty much do all of the food shopping. Its just my thing. I know food shopping and how to get high quality and good price etc (I'm Armenian after all!). Additionally I do much of the clothes shopping - both for myself (of course) and the kids!...and some even for my wife...but...eh eh ...thats ussually from what we might call specialty places
and she often accuses me of giving her things that are really more gifts to myself !
(not that I wear them - mind you...
