    SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE
    ******************************************
    All men are brothers?
I was born and raised in time of war.
Don’t talk to me about brotherhood.
    *
The most unbelievable thing in the world?
The things a man will consent to do
in exchange of a regular salary.
    *
    A working definition of enemy:
    Anyone who refuses to recycle
the propaganda line of the 1%.
    *
There is a type of Armenian
    – and I may qualify as one of them –
whose most important project in life
is to place the greatest possible distance
between himself and his fellow countrymen.
    *
    Happily married?
    An oxymoron.
    Happily resigned?
    That’s different.
    *
    Men and women.
    Women and men.
    It will never work
    because women don’t deliver
    as much as they promise
    and men are swine.
    *
    Depressing?
I don’t see why I should pretend to be cheerful
    when I am not.

    CHEERFUL REFLECTIONS
    *****************************************
    So many people recycle propaganda
that Homo sapiens may be defined
as a subspecies of the parrot family.
    *
Truth is a threat to everyone –
the wise as well as the foolish,
the weak as well as the strong,
    Christ as well as Judas
    and the Roman Empire.
    *
What we know might as well be
an invisible dot in an ocean of ink.
    *
    We are like tightrope walkers
    without a bamboo stick.
Our history has been and continues to be
    a progress towards catastrophe.
    *
From dupes and victims of Turks
to victims and dupes of our own leadership.
    It you see progress there,
    I must be blind.

    Nonsense
We had not choice to be born or not.
How can we be guilty of it.

    Reality is unpredictable
because our understanding of it is biased.
If we had an objective understanding of history,
the Genocide would appear to us
not as a case of unprecedented cruelty and barbarism
but as an inevitable fact of life.

    BAD MATH
    ***********************
If we count our victims of wars, massacres, and purges
in the Ottoman Empire and the USSR
plus Armenians who opted for exodus in the Homeland
    and assimilation in the Diaspora,
can we really brag about our so-called genius for survival?
    *
If we could have been not 10 million but 100 million,
is not our “genius” for survival based on bad math?
    *
My guess is the number of victims of organized crime
and organized religions are about the same.
This may suggest that bishops, imams, and rabbis
are variations on a theme based on Don Corleone.
    *
What we were taught to think as children
rings more true than what we really think as adults.
This may also suggest myths, legends, superstition,
lies and propaganda play a much more important role
in our lives than objective reality.

    GRUB FIRST
    **************************
Propaganda victimizes the people all over again.
We are taught to brag about our genius for survival
even as we experience two “white” genocides:
    assimilation in the Diaspora
    exodus in the Homeland.
    *
The problem with speaking nonsense is that
we project the image of idiots,
and idiots are the ideal targets of cunning operators –
cunning operators like our oligarchs in the Homeland
and our bosses, bishops, and benefactors in the Diaspora.
    *
    As for our academics:
I suspect they are smart enough to figure out
what’s happening but they pretend otherwise
because that’s their only way to make a living –
    “Grub first, then ethics.”
Or, in the words of one of our academics,
“My wife and children come first.”
Who am I to speak against motherhood
    and shish-kebab?
    *
My knowledge of our first genocide
    is based on hearsay.
But my knowledge of our two present genocides
    is based on personal experience.
    *
I live in the middle of nowhere
and I write in English –
    unlike some of my friends
who live in the shadow of Mt. Ararat
and speak/write in their mother tongue.
    *
I may not qualify as an Armenian
but I have not yet been dehumanized enough
to consider myself anything else but a human being.

    .

War is ( was ) a mechanism for population control.

Unfortunately it has broken down which means population growth is out of control.

This will impact the ability of earth to provide the resources to sustain our civilisation..

The end result will be the destruction civilisation as we know it.

    AS I SEE IT
    *****************************
Think of wars as a clash
    between imagination and reality.
Wars are declared and fought by men
who imagine themselves to be invincible.
    *
    All wars are defensive wars
against past, present and future injustices.
    *
    I made my worst decisions
and committed my most devastating blunders
when it didn’t even occur to me to ask
    “What if I am wrong?”
    *
Real lies play a much more important role
in our lives than imaginary truths.
    *
The only time we take our writers seriously
is when we betray them to the authorities.
    *
    Superstition and ignorance
are the two most important ingredients
    in all organized religions.
    *
What do we know about life after death?
    Nothing!
What do we know about paradise?
    Even less.

    WALLS
    **************************
    To join a political party
is to adopt the role of either dupe or deceiver.
    *
There are no honorable men in politics
    and groups in general.
    *
In all groups the interests of the group
are placed above the interests of the individual.
    This may explain why,
    instead of exposing child molesters,
bishops gave them a transfer to another parish.
    *
    Group thinking produces obvious fallacies
such as “all religions are false except mine.”
    *
The glue that holds groups together
    is a big lie.
    *
    The greatest enemies of religion
    are neither agnostics nor atheists
    but religious leaders.
    *
We are born and raised in an environment
with walls – race, nation, tribe, economic status,
and so on. How many of these walls
must we demolish in order to acquire the status
    of human beings?

    ANSWERS
    ***************************
How to recognize a phony messiah or prophet?
You can’t! – unless of course you are a dupe
    or a man of faith.
    *
    We can answer many questions
but not the most important ones.
    *
When a reader disagrees with me,
    my first question is:
    “What if I am wrong?”
If I were a tyrant I would say,
    “Burn him at the stake!”
    “Cut out his tongue!”
    "Kill him!"
If I were a man of faith, I would think,
    “Hell is his destination.”
    *
Search for the absurd and you will find it.
    *
The absurd is not hidden from us
and if you can’t see it,
it maybe because you are blind.
    *
It is not at all unusual for a man with 20/20 vision
to be not just blind but also stone deaf.
    *
If you don’t believe me, read a book by a historian –
    any book by any historian.
