    BAD NEWS
    **********************
On their own most men are harmless.
It is when they act in the name of a higher principle
that the excrement hits the ventilator.
    *
    “I am not a crook.”
    “The meaning of ‘is’”
    “Unknown unknowns.”
    Politicians are full of xxxx
    and they know it.
    Democracy is a farce.
    All men become liars
in defense of their powers and interests.
    *
    A French philosopher once called
ideology and religion “two immortal sisters,”
but failed to specify whether they were
    nuns or xxxxxs.
    *
Throughout most of our collective existence
    we have behaved like full-time
    brown-nosing serial degenerates –
or dupes of degenerates, which is worse.
    You want proof?
    Read Baronian and Odian;
and consider the famous last words
of Baruir Massikian (a brilliant writer
as well as a successful lawyer in Egypt)
who, when asked to leave his wealth
    to the Armenian Educational Foundation,
    replied:
“I’d rather leave it to a Cairo bordello.”

    A BRIEF HISTORY OF MANKIND

    Our religion teaches us
if God tells you to butcher your only son,
    you say “Yes, sir!”
God is a fascist and those who speak
    in His name are worse.

No empire in the history of the civilized West

A good example is the Bank Ottoman incident in 1896

Those who seized the Bank managed to secure a safe passage for themselves to Paris. They have since been elevated to the status of legendary heroes.

The Ottoman regime reacted to the incident by murdering 6,000 ordinary Armenians in the capital - many of them poor migrants, 99% of them probably had no interest in revolution

While the names of these 'revolutionary' captains are recited on every occasion as if they had acquired the status of saints, the names of the 6,000 murdered souls, brutally massacred are not known, their names were never recorded and are not remembered

    SARTRE ON HIMSELF
    ***********************************
“I turned rebel later only through having pushed submissiveness to the extreme.”
In my case, I became a dissident through having said “yes, sir!” to too many idiots.

If I knew my words mattered, I would be more careful in my choice of them.

One reason Armenian writers are willing to work for nothing is that the job has other compensations, one of them being deflating noxious gasbags.

    DISSIDENTS IN GRINGOLAND
    *********************************************
It is a statistically verifiable fact that
even the most ferocious anti-American dissident
would rather live in an American hell
than in a paradise ruled by imams, commissars,
    African tribal chieftains, Indian vegetarians
    or Latino strongmen.

    No, they don't

But if in the future, maybe 100 years from now Armenia becomes successful as a nation, they might!

An Armenian from the Middle-East is more Levantine and less Armenian.
Something similar could be said of French-Armenians,
    Greek-Armenians, Italian-Armenians

That's because, in Krikor Zohrab's words:

    How true!

You could even say the secret wish of most Armenians is to be less Armenian and more Canadian, American, Russian, French, Greek, Bulgarian, Italian even Arab or whatever community they are surrounded by

saying, “Armenians are fast learners of all the wrong things.”
