Let's give this another try, shall we?
CAPS = first initial (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H)
lowercase = gender (g = girl/b = boy)
A -> g -> b -> E
_________B -> g -> b -> F
_________________C -> g -> D
So, the product is (just align the 3 lines above): A -> g -> B -> E -> C -> F -> D
At this point, there is only one variable (g) left, which can be either G or H. But since G doesn't love B [G -> (B)], then it cannot be G, and has to be H:
A -> H -> B -> E -> C -> F -> D
It works out, since H loves the boy who does not love G [H -> b -> (G)]
( )=Not
And so you just place G at the beginning or end:
A -> H -> B -> E -> C -> F -> D -> G ->
Answer: Gwen loves Alan.
