well i for one have been in that situation. Ive wanted honesty from someone, but at the same time....i dont.......because im scared to get hurt from that person because there word compared to others means a lot more to me , it hurts more, it holds more meaning etc

so my answer to this thread is yes and no.

i like honest people who dont play games, who dont hold secrets.

frankness is key, but! sometimes we dont tell our partners little things, to keep the peace in a relationship etc

and this includes stupid little things that might annoy you, that you put up with and dont insult or hurt the person with.

but as far as big lies, they are not acceptable. because they will screw a relationship and make it false

i understand what you are talking about loseyourname. You are totally more sensitive to what someone says to you, after you are in love with them. It hurts more. So i could understand when woman rather get a sugar coated answer or not be told anything at all, because it hurts too much to hear things like that from someone who you are extremly vulnerable from.

I wonder if, ten years from now, after you have presumably been in love and actually been in a serious, committed relationship, if you will still feel the same way. My own experience teaches me that all women feel this way until they are actually confronted with the truth by a man that they are terribly in love with and terribly vulnerable to.
