As Tommy James would say, "love is the answer."
but I'm not buying it. For starters, how is lust/desire, the only thing that all people have, regardless of faith, cutlure, time period they were born, gender, mental capacity, etc, a facade? Secondly, I think people need to take a deeper look into the root of where "love" comes from. If what you're saying is true, it would be impossible for humans to separate themselves from love. However, I think it is possible. If you dig deep enough, I think you'll find that people love the ones they love usually to fulfill a need to not be alone, to connect with someone. We translate "someone stopping our loneliness" into love. This doesn't make love, in the way we think of it, any more real. If you could reach a state of mind where you can find fulfillment in things other than people, I think that the existence of love in our current perception of the word would die.
