  • Now I would like for you all to observe the turnout of this thread. Some of us are so overly concerned not to fall under the umbrella of gender stereotype, since it is so falsely imposed by the society. However, we can see how the responses are so typical of our gender. Women of this forum are not afraid to share what their romantic moments, revealing their emotions. On the other hand the boys do nothing but critique everyone’s contribution and mock the idea of romance. That is all of course to appear quite masculine, indifferent and in control of their emotions when it comes to more sensitive subjects. It’s is just funny to watch this display of a pompous behavior.

And once again, for those who fail to understand the word romantic should not hold a negative connotation, which some men believe it does. It IS an individual perception and doesn’t have to be defined by the conventional idea or what romance should represent.

Why thank you dusken, I am having fun and it's all thanks to you! Thank you for providing me with such a romantic and entertaining time, you are what every woman would give her half a toe-nail for. You are the reason why the mold on my bread, carved in the shape of your head, gets thicker every day.

You are just the epiphany of a man, the sun and the moon lose their luster compared to your undeniable brilliance. You are the reason my bowels bless me with a powerful movement with just the thought of you....Please, I am not worthy of your highness, release me from your intoxicating captivation, let me breathe again!

First, men do not usually have the luxury of having romantic things done to them.

Second, females were criticizing as much as the males. Spiral agreed with me. Several girls jumped on Siggie.

Third, it is quite obvious to me that my comment about romanticism's dependancy on individual perception is a more serious and honest statement than the "everything in here sucks" comment contrived for the sake of popping kernels.

I've done a few romantic things for the b/f. This may still hold some truth since there are so many women in the world who expect to be pampered and taken care of and are so wrapped in themselves that they never think to do something special for the one they love.

You are a special lady, in that case.

                  • I have turned predictability into a respectable artform.

                    • I agree with the mouse. I'd much rather have a girl give it up than do anything romantic.
