Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Oh yes thank you. That could not have been anymore truer even if it came from Abraham Lincoln himself. And for some reason again, that peculiar character who incited this little feud suddenly disappears. That is due to the fact that many Armenians are too self-involved and are quick to sell out that way.

I never meant to reffer to Canada as "my country" I am simply used to addressing it as this due to the fact that I am canadian and a proud citizen too, if I may say so. If you read my original post you will read and understand that I did mention that cheating does not apply just to armenians. I directed it also towards men and yes, women of other races as well. My purpose in directing it towards Armenians is because for the past 3 years my life has been surrounded by Armenian people. I have grown to share bonding friendships, relationships, enemies, etc. Some of the armenian men in this city have even said that I am pracitcally armenian now. And I have personally witnessed about 20-30 armenian individuals who have f**ked other women when they have wives. They seem to think that dancing with a woman, buying her drinks and flowers are a way to lead them into a night of sex. Although there wives were not here in the city at the time, now they are here with their children and yet they continue to do so!!! I dont mean to offend anyone with this post, or the thread. And believe me, I know that not all Armenians are like this. Ive told you all before and I will say it again, I do not believe there is a more respectable race on the planet than armenians. It just hurts me, in a way, to see things like that happening. To make me see the men (here in the city I live in, not all in general) do something so decietful and wrong. It just isnt right....when you marry you bind yourself to that person, heart and soul.

Nor did anyone say such ways are right, for those are the ways of the ignoble, the knave, and the egotist.

            Hmmm let's see...
            What ethnicity is she?
Does she fondle her mom or was she ever pressured to?
Would I catch a moment and glimpse of her life on Jerry Springer?

That is a very cold hearted thing to say.....and I want to make one thing clear. I NEVER said that this was meant only for armenian men!!!!!!!! It was just a question! Perhaps I should have worded it differently? Do not speak about myself or my family like that, you have no right to say those things. YOU DO NOT KNOW ME . Gosh, the reason why I asked that question is only because Ive seen lots of guys here f*ck other women when they have wives! (And please, dont say anything childish such as "how do you know they did so, were you present at the time?" Judging from some of the posts, I believe a comment like that can be expected). I didnt mean for everyone to think that I was verbally attacking armenians! I was not.

Your thoughts and words are not corresponding.

You already are flawed just by saying Armenians are a "race" when we are not and I am tired of being discriminated on in schools with ethnic slurs from most ignoramus non-Armenians' who are people just like you who incite a little verbal dual on campus, then decide to flee the scene when the pressure that they asked for comes abroad and they do this to save their own skin.

I didnt say you "werent proud of Canada." I simply said you replied "it is ok in YOUR COUNTRY to do that." What is "your country" exactly? Are you okay? It would appear that you seem to be agitated when confronted with your own ineptitude. You strictly said and it was written ARMENIANS, therefore I pounced right in.

"My purpose in directing it towards Armenians is because for the past 3 years my life has been surrounded by Armenian people. Yes as have many others. Their lives are on Jerry Springer, what is your point? Look, being the first nation to adopt CHRISTIANITY as its religion we see "cheating" as a taboo but again that still does not stop ANY sinner of ANY ethnicity race or religion from sinning, therefore for you to cherry out and generalize that way just highlights your ignorance.

"Although there wives were not here in the city at the time, now they are here with their children and yet they continue to do so!!! I dont mean to offend anyone with this post, or the thread. And believe me, "

Can you please cut the facade and powder your nose? You directly said offensive stereotypes and now you are backpeddling? Nice try Avril Lavigne but such unsolicited remarks only can work in your songs. Not among Armenians here.

"they seem to think dancing and drinking are a way to lead a woman into sex"
What is your point here? Yes, as do many other Blacks and Mexicans who think when a girl wears a short skirt it is a sign luring them into say "take me."

I mean, yea there is a lot of truth to that and many other things, but I really do not see your intentions of bringing that up. Honestly, to save us all this confusion and trouble, perhaps you should think thrice before saying anything like that again. Your WORDS implied something else while your thoughts just now indicated something totally different.

Let me ask this: What exactly is YOUR ethnicity? Don't say "Canadian/White." Baron Dants is Canadian as well.

You're not seriously going to deny how wide spread this is on our culture, and how accepted it is by the parties involved, are you? I go off my own study: How I was rised, what my parents say, what extended family members have gone through, and what the vast majority of people I've chatted with state. It is pretty much common place with us.

Oh I'm not shunning anything aside, Mousy. I made it very clear that every country and nationality does this in my last post. My point was, we are part of those nations that just accepets it, and moves on. I'm not interested in what the other nations do. I'm concerned with Armenians trying to put an end to this.

And you already and we already and everyone else already stated that. Your intentions of having this thread are understandable but they are not the same as the intentions of the source whom all of this stems from. I told you, TALKING about it is not going to miraculously convert any sinning man into a holy saint. I don't know what kind of heathen family you come from but if they are Armenians that stuck to that Christian morality, they will not do as such. Since we are Christians we see that as a taboo regardless of whether it is a man or woman.

And why not? Why can't they provide a valid piece of evidence that even "most" are doing it, not just their impudent fathers. They have the guts to push assertions on the whole ethnicity segregating us saying we are "cheaters" and all this really does is lead one thing to another if it is done publically like this, naive one. Your attempted efforts should be focused on comprehending as to WHY that occurs to prevent it from occurring once again in the future. But displaying this rubbish that unfortunately exists among our people to simply point little fingers IS NOT going to resolve the issue in fact it will just add more to the fire and chaos because now other racists have some more material to discriminate on Armenians with.

All it does is give more excuses and material for others to discriminate on us even more than they already are. That Cannuck is proof of that that this way of going about to resolve the issue IS NOT going to do anything but harm and attract more negative towards our people here via internet. If you or that Cannuck knew anything they would know that we come from a conservative Christian background thereby forbidding such acts as "cheating" to be tolerated.

"We are part of those nations that just accepts it". Just what on God's green earth is this based on? Your own experience, how quaint. This is in accordance with what the author of this thread stated that somehow this is part of Armenian culture and is accepted. That is untrue. What the knave, and the ignoble engage in, has no bearing on the culture and just because one fool is accepting and condones the morally depraved behavior of another fool is in no way translated to mean "the culture accepts it". To hold that as the tissue that connects us with our culture, is simply untrue and misleading and defiles the memories of our ancestors, my grandparents just to be examples. Have you not read Khorenatsi? Have any of you even familiarized yourself with Armenian history? Armenians from time immemorial, have always been the little people, that did not engage in imperial crusades butchering and enslaving other peoples, but were a simple small people, that held in esteem family, wisdom, virtue, truth, justice and fidelity. This is certainly not the case now, nor is it because it is "accepted". It is only a result of sinners, of going astray, of moral decadence ( oh the horror of using such a word, "You must be a religous fanatic to use the word 'sinner' " since in modern times we are oh so enlightened that to express such opinions or words is to invite shock by the more 'rational' and 'non-superstitious' among us ), of hypocrisy, of wearing the cross and proclaiming to be Christian while at the same time engaging in immoral ways, and why should it be only Armenian men that are to be cast as sinners? Let's not forget the adultery and promiscuity which women have been engaging in. Yes, Armenians have lost their spiritual selves, just like the core of humanity, and I do not say this because I am religious or cynical, it is simply the way it is.

He is falling and being deceived into the foundations of a stereotype and willing to arguably accept those notions and argue from there, hence why it is all coming out invalid. He like many confused ones are falling victim to the notions and stereotypes that have already been wrong and embedded into our community and he's going about arguing from those flawed notions. There goes that term again.
