Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

      I have a new dilemma.

You know that girl I'm "talking" to? Well, I'm gonna be honest. Lately, I haven't been giving her too much attention. Usually, when a girl I'm talking to or interested in signs on, I'll IM them and ask them what's up. Or, I'll call them throughout the day, or text them. Well, I haven't been doing that to her much, but you can't really blame me. In a way, she seems like she's holding back, but then again, she has a lot of problems going on right now. I can't say I'm too interested in her either. As far as looks go, she's okay. And I'm being honest! I usually never judge by looks. I'm not a shallow guy, or anything. But I'm being honest. Her looks are okay. But her personality is kind of weird.

First of all, she's an atheist. Second, she does a lot of "suicidal things". She's slit her wrists a couple times in the past, and about a week ago, she tried cutting her arm or something. That I don't like. And there's not much I can do to change it, because that's just one of the things she won't understand. When I try to help, she thinks I'm lecturing it. But whatever, I'm not trying to change her.

Now, there's this other girl. We met online last year, around September. I thought she was great, we had A LOT in common, so we started talking. In January, we made plans to meet up on a Friday night. After I got out of class, I called her to see where she was. She didn't pick up. After calling three more times, someone picked up. I said her name, and asked where she was, and a girl replied back with, "Who is this?" I told her who I was, and she said the girl was busy, and she'd call me back. I know what that means. She basically stood me up. We didn't talk for about two whole months. She never IMed me or called me saying what happened. Recently, my close girl friend asked her to hang out after not seeing her for years. She stood her up to. She never picked up her phone that night.

Now, I don't know what this girls problem is, and I haven't even asked her. After those two months, she IMed me by accident, and we started to talk. She said she really missed me, and I missed her too, damn, we had a lot in common. And me being stupid, I kept talking to her, never bringing that night up. Well, now she wants to meet again. This Friday. But I'm not gonna even bother calling her on Friday, because I know what she'll do. But I really like her, and would wanna meet her, because I think we'd really click.

So what should I do. Ask this girl why she did that, and see what's up? Or what? I really don't wanna ask her, it's a little embarrasing. She might have a really good excuse, which I'm hoping before, because I don't wanna admit she stood me up. But, ugh.

MY policy is honesty. First date, weird date, whatever. I don't know what the 'rules' would tell you. However, MY advice (for whatever that is worth) is to say what you think/feel. But know that MY advice hasn't worked out for me, so far. Plus, my advice is as a novice.... STILL, regardless of 'rules' or etc. I WILL BE ME, I dunno exactly who's wack, rt now. :P

          Still confused.

I was hoping for one of your page-long responses to help me. All good though. I'll see what I'll do. 'Preciate it.

            Lay down on the sofa....

Did this start when you were a child? In the birth canal? (Do you have valid credit card?) Good, so tell me when you started to have these polar ideas
            about things in your life....

Depends how you look at that. No offense, for sure, either way.

Really, there is truth in my joking with you, though.

Now, about the girl you speak about...

First of all, she's an atheist.
And in what ways is this important or relevant to you...

Second, she does a lot of "suicidal things".
If you really have reason to slightly believe that she might kill herself,. HELP HER NOW! My guess is that people who send that message are NOT kidding.

... give her names and numbers of people who can help, if you cannot.

If you don't know numbers for help, ask and find.

My sense is that you sense that she is not in any immediate danger... (or you would not still be here, unless you are a psycho... in which case, let me find some names and numbers FOR YOU!)

IF, after you said that, you are worried about her safety, if you are not here unless you believe she is very much ok, right now.

            So, TELL ME...

              Hah.

Reminds me of my friends kick back. I went up to all my friends who were on the couch, and I acted like a psychiatrist.

What would you say to someone in your situation?

                    -------

When I was in high school, I had a boyfriend who was a little like that gum. On one level, (especially as a teenager) I somewhat liked this ‘ego-filling’ arrangement. But, I broke up with him during my freshman year of college because it wasn’t what I really wanted.

He never challenged me if I was wrong or if he didn’t agree with me. (Everything I thought should have been carved in stone, in his mind.) We almost always did what I wanted to do (not for my lack of trying to get him to suggest something HE actually wanted to do.)

I want a guy with enough testicular fortitude to tell me when I’m wrong, etc.

Atheist doesnt really matter, but that girl sounds f'ed up, stay away unless you want more problems bro. The second you get too close and she gets too comfy, your are royally f'ed, if this girl gets attached to you there is no way you can shake her off without f'ing her up even worse, and god forbid she actually commits suicide. People that cut their wrists and all that other garbage turn me off immensely, i cant even explain it, i wouldnt even think twice about this girl, either shes totally screwed in the head or shes really really desperate for attention, either way...

as for the second girl, i dont know about you, but id never go back to this girl or even talk to her without an apology, ask her directly wtf was up with last time and if she makes up some bull excuse or tries to say she forgot or whatnot, tell her straight that you dont have the time for her games and if she really is interested in spending time and getting to know you she should learn to remember people,.... yada yada, i dont know where im going, but id slap the b1tch up if she even tried to insult me like that again. you get my point. your not gonna get anywhere by pretending you werent insulted or wronged when you actually have been.
