    No, the problem with these British "intellectuals" is all the same. They think they are superior minded people who believe that some humans are less human than others and don't deserve to be treated in the same manner and their justification in doing so is "scientific study".

    That was not their motive. Darwin's motive was to understand how there were so many varied species all so seemingly well adapted to their environments.

    Don't know why I expected anything else...

    By that "logic" Jesus was at fault for the Crusades and the Inquisition because he laid the ground work which led to these sorts of religious endeavors. The Wright brothers are at fault for 9/11, Newton for weapons like bullets, cannon, missiles, etc., Pasteur for biological warfare, and so on...

    Science is about acquiring knowledge. How that knowledge gets used by others is an entirely separate issue.

His only real role in the invention of the atomic bomb was writing a letter to President Roosevelt urging that the bomb be built.
