Anyone done this? Anyone researched it? Thoughts? It looks interesting...
I'm leaning toward buying a kit, but need to read up a little bit more first.

What do you mean by "works"? If their genotyping works? Yes. The information provided by that though, improves over time because each person adds to the existing data.

Looks kinda cool. It reminds of a project the National Geo Society has where you send them 2 samples of your cheek cells and then they determine where your ancestors came from. Their info also improves over time as more people send in their dna.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Yes, I remember that one. I believe this provides similar ancestry tracking.

I suggest you send me your money and I will tell you all that you want to know about your genes. I'll even charge 1/2 the price AND you don't have to commit $9.99 for 12 months.

I agree, we would know a lot more about ourselves if we had some idea about disease risks from our genetic history. But I think we could learn just as much about ourselves and what we've inherited by observing our memories of growing up with our parents, teachers, elders, friends... That is our actual experience. If we compare and try to relate it to our genetics, I think the genetics would better represent our potential qualities: health risks, physical or mental advantages/disadvantages. And then, since afterall we're playing a game of matching our experience with genetics, we can relate our impressions of our parents to this information.
Sounds like fun, but I don't have 99$ to spend on this right now :P So I'll muse for free
By the way, zerang-ness and joking aside, my point was basically who verifies or validates what these guys say? They will come and tell you a bunch of data and scientific sounding things. How can you evaluate their reports? Is there any sort of certification, validation, etc on what these guys will report to you? I checked their website and I didn't see anything that would suggest anything on how much you can trust them
