WHAT? They only decided to play the last 5 minutes of the second overtime againstn Germany. Before that it was all Germany. In the final, at least they were trying in the first half. The second half they were practically OWNED by France's midfield. If it wasn't for Italy's great defense, they would have no game at all.

If the referee was decent, they wouldn't have made it past 90 minutes since their only goal was from a penalty which was won by DIVING. even the commentators said it. Wow, just like the Portugal match...

Can they even score legitimately?


Italy on the other hand played a great game and if you see how great they played against Germany you know they deserved to win.

whoever said Italy deserved to win that game must be blind. They played a horrible game, France didnt play that well either but much better than the bunch of sissy boys called the Italian national team. Good for Zidane, who gives a crap he headbutted some nameless bum, and im sure it was provoked, Zidane has done $hit like this before but never without provocation, and im sure he wasnt planning on going out like this in his final match, the World cup final. italy didnt deserve to win crap, they were lucky they were in the final to begin with.

You just said france didnt deserve to win because the ref called a bad penalty(which it wasnt) and then failed to call another one for them? does that even make sense to you? Ref did alright, and he let the game go pretty well, how many times were the french taken down right outside of the box and he just let the game go?

I'll tell you what short stuff. If France played the better game, they would have won.

The fact that Italy won means everything. Who cares what happens in the middle, when it is the end result that counts? If you want to talk about luck, France was very lucky to have gotten that penalty shot in the beginning several minutes. At least Italy scored an actual goal within the game. I have siad this before and I will say it again, it takes no skill to shoot penalties as they are not a true determining factor of game play. If France was so good they would have penetrated the Italian defense and they would have scored, and let's not forget that the Italians were very tired by the end.

The officiating was crap, and I am not talking about all those regular scuffles and pushes that occur during the game. Elbows to the head and legs to the shin are not your regular push and France played far more of a dirty game than Italy and the pinnacle of that was Zidane's idiocy on the field.

This isn't rugby and this isn't UFC, that shyt isn't for the game. It's the same with that stupid English player in the England vs. Portugal game. No matter what the Italian player said, nothing excuses Zidane's idiocy. Phuck him, it's his fault in a way that France lost one can argue. If he thought rationally, he wouldn't have done anything and he would have stayed until the penalty shootouts when he would have been asset to France.

And finally, stop making stupid excuses and take your god damn loss with some pride.

You forgot to mention that he will be compared to the best players like Pele, Maradona aka Vaccum Cleaner, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho... that will never happen....

an interesting game, I didn't watch all of it, the first half I could barely keep my eyes open. Watched the highlights when I woke up this morning though.

oh well, now that Italy won, we won't hear the end of it at the local cafe I go to LOL

yesterday we were there, and the whole place was covered in the colours of the Italian flag, plus there were more Italian flags in that cafe than in Italy lol
