Onnik Krikorian is a journalist and photojournalist of Armenian (*highly controversial) and English descent who has been resident in the Republic of Armenia since 1998.
For those who do not know him, he is a self-pronounced journalist pretending to be Armenian, but whose articles are made just to critizise Armenia and the Armenian culture. He is working for Western agencies and is very pro-Georgian and pro-Azerbaijan.
I quote some of his reactions to an interesting discussion on his blog, where, even if the subject is about Georgia, he mentions how ''bad'' Armenians are by mocking about this subject, defending Georgia because he loves Georgia so much.
He also frequently uses biased Western agencies such as the Freedom House, to prove that Georgia is more ''democratic'' than for example Armenia (ofcourse, Western agencies are ignoring the genocide that is committed till this day on the Armenians, be it the destruction of Armenian heritage in Georgia/Azerbaijan/Turkey or the killings on Armenians and other ethnic minorities in these countries, but this does not bother him).
Yes, I understand, such attempts at decentralization are underway in Georgia, unlike Armenia and I suppose Azerbaijan too (both of which are less democratic according to Freedom House reports).
However, Georgia is considered more democratic and less corrupt than Armenia since the 2005 Rose Revolution although there is much to be done and some regression. Meanwhile, there are more concerns in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
However, Georgia is more democratic and less corrupt. The power of the Georgian Church, however, is another matter,
Unfortunately, however, Armenia has even more problems to sort out, and the fact that it is a virtually mono-ethnic country says a lot about its level of tolerance. Hell, most Armenians don’t want to stay here.
Meanwhile, Armenia’s position is moving closer to Azerbaijan than Georgia. If you can’t accept that, well, what can I say? It’s not a surprise and such an attitude is partly responsible for the situation Armenia is in. Had the Diaspora spoken out during Kocharian’s reign, things might have been a lot different.
Post articles of other anti-Armenian fake ''journalists'' working for foreign agencies, pretending to want the ''best'' for Armenia, but whose sole purpose is one of breaking down the Armenian morale.
