I hate people like her, they are idiots and they have this sense of superiority over others. I could tell what you meant. At one point the Armenian is laughing because she is acting like a kid and the host is thinking "Is she still going on?"

It shows the intelligence of the azeri govt with people like her having such high ranks. I remember her talking about khojaly and bringing up the made up book by Zori Balayan. The one where he supposedly says how he killed a child by nailing him to a cross. Balayan refuted the information and she used it as evidence.

Exactly. It reminds me of them using the Sargsyan statement, "after khojaly, Azeris understood who they are messing with" as evidence for their "khojaly incident."

what they dont understand is the quote couldve been regarding the attack on the city. It couldve meant Armenians would attack a city full of citizens if its being used to bomb our cities. It doesnt mean Armenians killed those people.

If he ever uttered those words. Let's remember that "quote" was published on the book of Thomas De Waal, which is full of Azeri propaganda and which Azeries use as a source for every of their claims

'The hostilities in the Karabakh conflict area are not frozen and the state of war continues'.

According to assistant president of Azerbaijan on issues of defense Vahid Aliyev, there is only the ceasefire regime and hostilities may result any time:

'We are not satisfied with the status quo. Why? Because we have a million of refugees, because 20% of our lands are under occupation, because this strongly hinders our development and the development of the whole region. Because the state is responsible before its citizens which were forced to flee their homes.

Because Armenia is protracting the current state for no reason. Because the Armenian side observes ceasefire agreements only on words but often creates provocations and we are obliged to respond. Our responses are always adequate, though we are able to show a stiffer reaction', he said, reports Trend.

V.Aliyev noted that official Baku supports the peace talks and diplomatic resource has not exhausted yet. However, he said this cannot last long, there have not been any results for about 20 years, because the Armenian side has been taking a nonconstructive position for already several years.

He noted that Azerbaijani people do not want war but we have to be already ready to it.

Aliyev commented on the intention of the world community not to allow Azerbaijan to liberate lands through war. He said unlike Armenia Azerbaijan is not going to fight civilians for the mere reason that there are no civilians in the territories occupied by Armenians:

'We are facing only the military troops of Armenia and we have a right to return them where they have come from. I am sure that when our troops will reach the settlements of the mountain area of Karabakh for example Khankendi we will find a common language with our citizens of Armenian origin', Aliyev said.

Blacklist of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry may be supplemented by new parliamentarians

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani mass media reported that Azerbaijan may include participants of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (IPAO) in its blacklist, if they visit Artsakh.

On July 1, Speaker of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan met with a delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy, which paid a private visit to Artsakh after completion of the 17th assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (IPAO).

The delegation comprised of parliamentarians from Russia, Poland, Serbia, Montenegro, Lebanon, Jordan, Armenia, Romania, Palestinian Autonomy, as well as high-ranking clergymen from Russia and South African Republic.

Armenia underestimates Presidents’ statement on Karabakh, expert says

A cursory analysis of responses to the Obama, Sarkozy, Medvedev statements shows the Armenian media and society underestimate this document, Konstantin Zatulin, the Director of the Institute of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and member of the International Affairs Committee, RF State Duma, told journalists July 2.

“Even if what you have repeatedly heard concerning the contents of the documents – when it is said by the Presidents, it acquires a new importance,” he said.

Zatulin stressed the Presidents’ statement was made while Azerbaijan was convincing itself of winning the propaganda warfare and could make Turkey return to the old declarations on Karabakh. The statement repeats those provisions voiced at the presidential meeting in St Petersburg, which ended in demarche by Ilham Aliyev.

The Armenian side should not demand that U.S., France and Russia agree with it, as they rarely agree to each other one hundred per cent, Zatulin said.

He noted the document underlines the necessity of vacating the territories surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, not Karabakh itself. It proves the Co-Chairs see the difference between the status of the territories in question and Nagorno-Karabakh. The mediators do not view Karabakh as an occupied territory by the Armenian side, Zatulin stressed.

According to him, the statement underlines the importance of a corridor between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. This means that, whatever the solution is, Nagorno-Karabakh’s status will not be identical to the one Azerbaijan insists on.

“It was at that point that Aliyev was indignant in Saint Petersburg. If there is a corridor, there is another status for Nagorno-Karabakh,” he said.

On June 26, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, U.S. President Barack Obama, and French President Nicolas Sarkozy issued the following statement on Karabakh from the G8 Summit:

“We welcome as a significant step the recognition by both sides that a lasting settlement must be based upon the Helsinki Principles and the elements that we proposed in connection with our statement at the L’Aquila Summit of the Eight on July 10, 2009, relating to: the return of the occupied territories surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, interim status for Nagorno-Karabakh guaranteeing security and self-governance, a corridor linking Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh; final status of Nagorno-Karabakh to be determined in the future by a legally-binding expression of will, the right of all internally-displaced persons and refugees to return, and international security guarantees, including a peacekeeping operation,” the statement reads.

Wikipedia Arbitration Committee bans 26 Baku Wikipedians’ activity

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Arbitration Committee of Russian-language section of Wikipedia adopted a decision on the case of 26 Baku wikipedians. The claim of a Russian participant (nickname Divot) against 26 editors of Wikipedia contains an accusation of coordination of Azerbaijanis’ actions on the external resource with violation of a range of Wikipedia rules.

The activity of the most persistent violators has been banned on Wikipedia for the term of 3-6 months.

“After the unblocking, the participant will be forbidden to edit controversial articles with editing limitation of Wikipedia spaces,” reads the decision of the Arbitration Committee.

It basically says that Clinton's visit to Armenia is to pressure us to give the 7 regions surrounding NK to Azerbaijan (Lachin corridor controlled by peacekeeping forces), and solve the NK conflict in favor of Azerbaijan, in exchange for Azerbaijan to allow them free access to build military bases in their territory, in order to finally have Iran completely surrounded.

Although it is Turkish news and therefore totally exaggerated (taking into consideration the USA cannot by itself do solve the conflict, although they are OSCE MG co-chairs they need approval of France and Russia, and deployment of American forces in the Caucasus is not in Russia's interests) what's interesting is that it also coincides with many opinions of Armenian politicians that this visit of Clinton will have an outcome. It also gives hint to a USA plan to attack Iran.

We should also note, that after USA attack on Iraq, the Kurds got an incredible advantage to form an autonomous region rules by them, and that after USA claims to leave from Iraq, they started to get worried. As well, what can a US invasion of Iran give Azerbaijan, but control of the Azeri populated regions they have always claimed?

We should be on alert, and let's hope our politicians keep up their promises of "not unilateral concessions" and "no concessions until NK status is determined", and don't give up to USA pressure which they will be subject to.

It is very weird that the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh is always seen as a potential dropping point of American soldiers invading Iran (as if Azerbaijan did not already have a large enough border with it), while the US already has its troops stationed in neighboring Iraq and Afghanistan.

And shame on Azerbaijan to be willing to become just another American pawn in order to fulfill its goals.
