Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

These launchers do not fire on the run, but rather have to stop and configure to launch sequence.
Our military most assuredly tries to keep track of all such enemy equipment placements.
What I meant was ... We put enough heat on their positions that they run away from these mrl's and we take possession.
Military operation with no need for turc speaking or boat loads of interpreters.
Precise military strikes by air force and army is what's needed.
If these multiple rocket launchers need to be within 50 miles of their intended target, you can bet our military is targeting them.
Ever heard of a baboon running away from a battle and leaving their military assets behind?
I was implying that we do it without the military and not during a war... Thus requiring a group sneak into the country, somehow, and blend in on its way to the "military base".
Just wondering how does our military keep eyes on these launcher? I guess informants on the ground is a possibility, maybe the Russians..

I disagree if your saying Armenia can track these launchers, round the clock, in real time, for us to hit them before they launch(unless Russains provide satellite info in real time). After launch is another story and Armenia has Totchka and AR1A with enough range and accuracy to hit them in theory. The problem is its hard to narrow down the exact location when the distances are grater than 30-50 km, depending on your counter battery radar... On top of it the Smerch was made to shoot and scoot.
RUSSIAN FEDERAL STATE UNITARY ENTERPRISE "SPLAV STATE RESEARCH and PRODUCTION ASSOCIATION"
    Smerch
    Setup- 3min
    Launch- 38 sec
    Urgent pack up- 1min

So if you believe Armenia can see them before launch that gives us right under 5min, once they stop, to get munitions on target.
If you believe that Armenia can't see them until they launch, that gives us 1min and 40 seconds to get munitions on target before they leave.

And yes, I have hear of the "baboons" being impotent a billion times over. I still believe never underestimate your opponent.

If you read my post you would see I said ... Our military --- TRIES --- to keep track of enemy assets.
          Do you disagree?
Above is said ... Do not underestimate the enemy.
          How about not underestimating us.
Satellites and/or Russian help (no other way???)
Wrong, but I wouldn't say how on a PUBLIC forum.
As I said before ... You can bet we are trying to keep track of these mlr's.
          That is indisputable.

            .

I think the best way to handle the threat is to underline the retaliation that they will get.
Not only strike back at their firing locations but strike at will at any target we see fit.
Be it military, economic, infrastructure, logistic etc.

If our population centres are targeted we should swiftly retaliate back against their population centres
with the intention of creating refugee problems AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Our plan and aim should be on the table for them to see and not think we are bluffing.
The aim is not war mongering but the deter them from any stupid action which they will regret.

As far as tracking their artillery MRLS etc I am sure our army has methods in place but by definition
these assets are very mobile and can be fired from very well protected locations and deep in their territory.

As far as help from the Russians the more time passes I am getting more disillusioned with their actions and our treatment.

Russian’s grand strategy is to dominate the energy supply field.
It is their only lever of influence that they have.
The countries that can undermine its ambitions in this area are Iran and Azerbaijan.

Currently Russia is trying to bribe Azerbaijan, intention being to dovetail Azerbaijan's resources to its grand strategy.
In the process it is blackmailing Armenia to use Karabagh as its bargaining chip. Its very ominous.

            .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Good ideas from everyone and I think they can be combined.

Small drones (which we have) combined with our spies it might be possible to put a tracking device on these vehicles or maybe special forces using laser guide devices "marking" from distance the Smerchs for our SU-25s even if they are on the move....they may launch a few if that was imminent anyway, BUT if exact locations are relayed back to the jets, firing the proper missile guided missiles will take them out with guns blazing too once visual and all this before their air to air defenses can respond properly......With all missiles fired the SU-25 can fly close to Mach 1.
