      There has always been a situation in the one Azerbaijan does something and nobody cares everyone turns the deaf ear. But Armenia does something, everybody comments about it. Azerbaijan threats with war, everyone's OK, Armenia speaks of protect ourselves against war, everybody's like "Armenia is using aggressive statements". The same can be applied to this, Azerbaijan is an inhumanitarian savage nation who treats Armenians in a minor level than animals, everyone's OK, if we would do the same, we would be hardly criticized by the international viewers and organization, such as the Red Cross that Azerbaijan was so desperately asking mediation in the transferal of the bodies. Why do you think it was? The only thing I am saying is that we are giving a good image of Armenia as a country that respects the rights of everyone regardless of his/her origin or his/her condition, the same cannot be said about Azerbaijan

        I have read multiple times that besides the Zastava M91 they have sold the M21 too. I guess our special forces use it because our regular forces are equipped with cheaper AK's.

        By the way, weird that google maps show the whole Armenian Air Force base without blurring it. Can you find some pictures on the Azerbaijani Air Force?

          Armenian's take good care of animals, even baboons. Just because the Azeri's treat Armenian's as worse than animals does not imply that Armenian's should go as low as the Azeri's have gone.

              Could this be a lesson 1

              Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
              Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
              Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

                  Rafik Hasanov was the soldier who gave an interview asking for Armenian citizenship. Here is his video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm913n4taiA . It is safe to say that he may be imprisoned once he goes back.

                    SIMULATOR COMPLEX FOR “IGLA” PORTABLE SURFACE-TO-AIR MISSILE SYSTEM (PSAMS) “ASEGH”
                    The “Asegh” simulator is a modern multimedia complex providing audio and 3D-video imitation of process of shooting from “Igla” PSAMS, shooting in which is carried out from the regular starting device.

                    Reproducing real air fight conditions, the complex allows to carry out the effective training studies promoting to form a steady dynamic stereotypes of anti-aircraft gunner’s behaviour during fight, and also their psychophysical stability, automatically to estimate the received skills of shooting.

                    The simulator complex is developed with the use of modern scientific and technical achievements in the field of information technologies, laser technics and means of video signal registration.
                    Purpose
                    The simulator complex is intended for carrying out of combat training and attestation of “Igla” PSAMS anti-aircraft gunners.
                    Functionalities
                    The simulator allows:
                    -to simulate on the screen various plots of air conditions at various day time, season, with different weather conditions and landscape types, in natural (overcast, sun) and artificial (presence of false targets) interference conditions;
                    -to use various types of the air targets with different trajectories and velocities;
                    -to establish various corners of homing sensor head (HSH) capture;
                    -to create full imitation of light-sound signals of the starting device during pointing on the target and performance of start-up, including work of the storage battery and missile throw;
                    -to register all actions which are carried out anti-aircraft gunner on the starting device;
                    -to simulate hitting of the air target after successful start-up (during work of the storage battery);
                    -to make the automatic control and an estimation of actions of anti-aircraft gunner during shooting with delivery of corresponding messages on the screen;
                    -to represent an evident video data for anti-aircraft gunners training to determine a key parameters of a plot, zones of capture and start-up, shooting modes (“towards”/”in pursuit”);
                    -to register the attestation result to keep them in a database with delivery, if necessary to print;
                    -to study the principles of formation of plots and functioning of a complex by instructor on a corresponding training-methodical material.
                    The basic operational (technical) parameters
                    -Size of the wall screen .................... 3x4m;
                    -distance from OMB to the screen .... 7,5m;
                    -height of a premise .......................... not less 4,5m;
                    -degree of illumination ..................... no more 5 lux.

                      Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan predicts new war in Karabakh

                      April 8, 2010 - 13:30 AMT 08:30 GMT

                      PanARMENIAN.Net - There is a high possibility of resumption of hostilities in Karabakh, as the talks reached a deadlock, according to Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan, Commandos.

                      “The conflicting parties are trying to merge irreconcilable contradictions – the principle of territorial integrity and the right of nations to self-determination. Additional tension is created by the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement process. At that, failure of the dialogue will increase the possibility of war,” he said when responding to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter’s question during a press conference on April 8.

                      “Azerbaijan and Turkey have been coordinating their foreign policies since 1919. I can’t say for sure that war will start this May but it will start anyway - if not this year, so next year for certain,” Commandos said.

                      Armenia aware of Azerbaijan’s weak points
                      April 8, 2010 - 15:53 AMT 10:53 GMT

                      PanARMENIAN.Net - Territorial issues between the states are hardly ever resolved peacefully, according to Karabakh war commander, Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan.

                      As Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan told a news conference in Yerevan, safety of Armenia and Karabakh is guaranteed by CSTO collective forces, which renders Azerbaijan or Turkey’s attack on Armenia unlikely.

                      Still, Major General did not preclude the probability of Azerbaijan’s provocations in NKR liberated territories. “We must be realistic. There’s a high possibility for a war, and this is the reason mediators actively promote the agreement on non-use of force. Negotiations are at standstill and despite OSCE MG statements, no progress is observed in conflict settlement,” the military expert noted.

                      As Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan emphasized, were the war start in Karabakh, it would be waged with the use of military equipment of new generation. Armenia is aware of Azerbaijan’s weak points, and, should necessity arise, will strike at its strategic objects, Major General concluded.

                      Armenian armed forces can parry provocations
                      April 8, 2010 - 14:47 AMT 09:47 GMT

                      PanARMENIAN.Net - The efficiency of the Armenian army guarantees security of Armenian and Karabakh people, said Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan, Commandos.

                      “The efficiency of any army is determined by experts’ assessments but not by self-laudation. Our army is assessed highly. As to the Azeri army, it was a mistake of Azerbaijan’s leadership to reorganize the armed forces for three times,” he told a news conference in Yerevan.

                      He also noted that Armenian army is monoethnic unlike that of Azerbaijan, where national minorities are oppressed.

                      “Not weapons but the spirit is the most important factor. We struggled for independence in hard conditions but we were strong. Besides, we can manage military hardware. Our armed forces can parry provocations and rebuff any attack,” the Major General said.
