Օգոստոսի 28-ին ժամը 01.40-ի սահմաններում ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի արեւելյան ուղղությամբ հակառակորդը ձեռնարկել է հետախուզադիվերսիոն ներթափանցման հերթական փորձ:

ՊԲ առաջապահ ստորաբաժանումները ժամանակին հավաստանշել են ադրբեջանական զինուժի 20-25 հոգուց բաղկացած հատուկ ջոկատայինների առաջխաղացումը եւ կորուստներ պատճառելով` հետ շպրտել իրենց ելման դիրքերը:

Ծավալված մարտերի ընթացքում հայկական կողմը կորուստներ չի ունեցել:

Բացի հետախուզադիվերսիոն գործողությունից, հակառակորդը` օգոստոսի 27-ի լույս 28-ի գիշերը տարբեր տրամաչափի հրաձգային եւ հրետանային զինատեսակներից հրադադարի պահպանման ռեժիմը խախտել է շուրջ 110 անգամ, որի ընթացքում արձակել է 2000-ից ավելի կրակոց, այդ թվում` 35 կրակոց` 60, 82 եւ 120 մմ-ոց ականանետերից:

ՊԲ առաջապահ ստորաբաժանումների պատասխան գործողություններից հետո հակառակորդի ակտիվությունը ճնշվել է: Առաջնային գծի ողջ երկարությամբ հայկական ուժերը շարունակում են վստահորեն իրականացնել իրենց առջեւ դրված մարտական խնդիրը:

But some observers assert that coeducation is the byproduct of necessity, not the result of an enlightened impulse. Human rights activist Artur Sakunts, a longtime advocate for soldiers’ rights within the army, believes that women’s admission into military academies has little to do with gender equality and a lot to do with the army being unable to meet conscription quotas.

“It is simply absurd to talk about gender equality in an army severely challenged with social inequality,” said Sakunts, who heads the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor office. “This is, undoubtedly, an attempt to somehow resolve the quota issue.”




- At first, I was going to ask about who are those "some experts" that say that our army is trying to fill the gap by recruiting women in the army?
But then I read the name of Artur Sakunts, that w h o r e of Helsinki...
No wonder.
This idiot went to europe, got himself recruited and accepted in Helsinki Human Rights watch organization, Got the rules and guidelines of human rights and gender equality, came back and proclimed himself as the watchman of human rights for us.
Then he proceeded to criticise and criticise anything and everything that he sees in Armenia mainly about the government and then Armenian apostolic church.
Who cares that his words can be used by our enemies in their propaganda.
Meanwhile, all this time, I have not seen him do or contribute anything towards real democratic or human values in Armenia, exept put out statements mostly for use by organizations from abroad.

Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA. Armenian e-media reports of the Azerbaijani armed forces having allegedly suffered losses on the contact line of troops are absolutely untrue and of misleading nature, the Defense Ministry told APA on Aug.28.

“The feelings of fear and fright have taken over the Armenian leadership and servicemen so much so that each time “saboteurs” appear to their eyes,” said the ministry.

“According to our information, two Armenian soldiers were killed and several wounded in an internal gunfight,” said the ministry.

The ministry stated that Azerbaijani armed forces have not suffered any losses over the past 24 hours.

Note that, Armenian media on Friday reported that the Azerbaijani side has made a sabotage attempt with a group of 20 to 25 special forces and suffered losses.

Armenian military medics get training by U.S. peers
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and U.S. Ambassador Richard M. Mills attended Friday, Aug 28, the graduation ceremony for 12 trainers of military medics of the Armenian Army who are the first graduates of an innovative medical training course taught by members of the U.S. military.

For the past three months, six U.S. Army personnel have led classes for the Armenian military medics, who will now serve as instructors for the Armenian military paramedic school. The course is a collaboration between the U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation and the Armenian Ministry of Defense, designed to improve the medical treatment of Armenian military wounded.

“You will save lives. Thanks to you, more of your brothers and sisters in arms will return home from places that others fear to tread, dangerous places where you agree to go in the name of peace,” Ambassador Mills told the graduates.

The U.S. military’s training team of highly skilled and experienced U.S. Army sergeants and an officer led the Armenian military medics through an extensive course of the latest techniques, based on the same curriculum used to teach American military medics, a press release from the U.S. Embassy said. Thousands of pages of material were translated into Armenian, marking the first time the course has been offered in a language other than English. As a result of this successful partnership, other nations are requesting the U.S. military conduct similar courses in their native languages.

“The strong American-Armenian partnership is once again demonstrating what we can achieve when we work together,” Ambassador Mills said. “Today’s graduation is, indeed, just the latest illustration of a bilateral relationship that continues to strengthen and grow. This training is one more example of our nations’ mutual progress, our joint friendship, and our strong trust and belief in one another. I know our partnership will strengthen as we continue to face international challenges to security and stability that cannot be solved by any one country alone. The challenges of today’s world require strong international cooperation between like-minded countries and this ceremony is evidence that U.S.-Armenian cooperation is alive and well.”
