here is a historic map of the Roman Empire during BC. It clearly shows Artsakh and Nakichevan as part of Armenia with no sign of a azerbaijan to the north of the Arax river.

I m for a Avar entity too, however its not possible. Its not 1992. You can't do something against military might of AZ now. Not possible for a armed uprising.

But we can wish a autonomous Avar entity.

And morover, i for one i m not too unhappy either. I have a good life in AZ.

But you don't even live in Azerbaijan, how could you have possibly been having a good life?

Perhaps you might be crushed in case of an armed uprising alone given how you said it's not 1992 however, you don't need to throw your hands in the air. The bear to the north is looking for any opportunity to weaken West-leaning countries such as Azerbaijan.

Your Government already mistrusts your people and oviously has issues with you, despite the fact that you are loyal enough to offer us a safe heaven in Azerbaijan.

I think its time you had a word with your Avar friends and see how to organise and liberate youselves before its too late.

A few lessons from the Karabakhis would be a good start.

I had, i left for studies.

Well, it would be only with Lezgins.

Lets be realistic. Most of Avars are not that self-aware.

Thats exactly what Armenians do not want to become.

I understand that and therein lies the problem. If Avars like yourself have given up on your own ethnicity then there is no hope. What you need is to instill some nationalism into your fellow countrymen. Teach them about your own culture, learn your language, practise your own religion. The key lies with the youth such as yourself. Only then will you experience a national rebirth.

Of course being Avar are more importnant for me then Azerbaijan.

But its just a bit difficult to explain i think. You guys may not be very familiar with whats going on.

There are people who want to create a separatist Avar entity, however its very difficult to do anything as Azerbaijans security forces are heavily concerned about such things. You can't do anything.
