Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Armenias end game should be like Iceland. Jail the corrupt politicians. Militarily should be like Israel, except not bomb our neighbors and have a dream to expand world wide as far as we can. We need to inform our neighbors that our foreign policy is based on International Law , we don't like wars and we want to focus on our economy.. In times of war Armenia will always have its defenders. But we need to keep our men and women in the country. Keep the minds at work in Armenia for the better of Armenia. It's only when we are strong economically that we demand whatever it is. At the moment take a look at us. We got no voice , no friends. Lastly the Government needs to open the country to the diaspora if they want Armenia to succeed. Armenia is a great place for business , but not when your being taxed at western percentages and given headaches because a ministers son etc is in that field.

Your post does not reflect your username.. Armenia will not play nice. We must be armed to the teeth and ready to give it to whoever wants. Look in our history when Turks would hold up swords we would hold up crosses. International Diplomacy is dead. Countries like Turkey, Saudi Arabia do whatever the hell they want without any criticism or consequences. Armenia needs to continue its current path of becoming something other than it's strategic geographical location..

Sounds like the author is thinking black and white......lets be Russian slaves, at least we live right?

islamists will not run over Armenia and without Armenia as a wedge against Turkish expansion to Baku.......If Armenia is ever run over by Turks it will become a great danger to Russia and Iran. It would be almost a check mate on Russia. Without us Russia will be in big trouble in every which way. Iran surrounded by NATO bases and guess what will happen......NATO bases between Iran and Russia on Armenian lands who are fighting a insurgency war run by professional soldiers
against the Turks in Armenia. .

My username is something that I believed in at the time. We no longer could use the same tactics as we would be painted as the same color as IS. But I believe we need to get over the war thinking and think of economy. I'm not saying let's not have an Army. Instead of the same excuse that we need weapons to protect Armenia then later revealed that the weapon money goes elsewhere and not towards the economy is disgusting. A rich country could buy what it wants and say what it wants. Its not all about Military. We need to keep people in the country instead of them thinking out.

I hope everyone who follows this thread, including the Armenians who follow the thread but don't post anything, realized what just happened here:

The author of the article I posted presented a premise (Armenians need to take advantage of Russia because Armenia and Russia have overlapping interests against common enemies, Armenia cannot survive at this point in time without Russian protection from Turkey and Azerbaijan), and the author backed that premise with factual data (genocidal Turkey and Azerbaijan would not hesitate to destroy relatively tiny and poor Armenia if Russian protection was removed, Armenians are well-positioned to push Moscow to remove the Turkic-Islamic-western threat from the Caucasus once and for all by strengthening Armenia and Artsakh). This is a valid, logical argument supported by the facts. The people behind the "vrej1915" account have their own pro-western, anti-Russian agenda they want to push (basically an Armenian saakashvili with a CIA-backed regime change). But unfortunately for the people behind the "vrej1915" account, their pro-west and pro-NATO(Turkey) and anti-Russian agenda doesn't have any actual rational basis for support, so they resorted to ad hominem attacks (name calling). Anyone paying attention to Armenian issues will easily recognize this tactic, because it is the default tactic used by those who peddle lies. The most pressing example of ad hominems in Armenian issues is when Armenians demand genocide recognition and reparations, the Turks immediately resort to name-calling, lies, and threats because Turks do not have any facts to support their claims. The same thing happens when Armenians argue for Artsakh's right to self-determination: Armenians present evidence (Artsakh was historically Armenian from ancient times; NKR legally and democratically declared independence from the Soviet Union in 1991; Armenians cannot submit to rule by entity that openly calls for their genocide and declares axe murderers as national heroes; and that self-determination is the very essence of democracy), and Azeris respond with name-calling, lies, and threats.

To cut things short, let me state on behalf of the author that ad hominems and other insults from idiots (and from traitors) are like badges of honor. When Turks, Azeris, and their NATO allies and agents are targeting you for insults and attacks, then you can be sure you are doing something to damage their agenda against Armenia!

But in saying that what ASALA accomplished , was just amazing. They put the Armenian Genocide on the world stage. Could you do it today ? No. What's important today is the building of Armenia. I lived in Armenia for 6 months , had some business plans and wanted to live there. I got a lot of headaches. I'm not going into it but Armenia has so much potential but sadly not everyone can see the light.
