    In southern NKR or south of NKR (Iran)? If it's the first, it is already cut-off, our borders with Azerbaijan are closed, NKR shares a border with Iran. Azerbaijan cannot reach Nakhichevan through Armenia/NKR.

    What path are you talking about? There's two ways Azerbaijan can reach Nakhichevan (short routes): through NKR/Armenia (cut-off by the war) or through Iran (longer than the Armenia route).

    Actually during the war, Armenia threatened Azerbaijan by cutting off the path from Baku to Nakechevan. Russia called this off, because Russia didn't wan't the war to go onto another level, but picture we did cut the path, picture where we would be now.

    Would be cool if we could get that borderline all along Irans border. It will choke off Nakhichevan. Russia may want this also-lets hope it happens.

    Although it's not enough, it's an advance. The point here was to show that at least they are not putting NK under Azerbaijan's territory as they did in previous editions. Since I use Encarta it has always presented the former NKAO bordered with a thin line with the label de-facto independent, de-jure part of Azerbaijan.

    What is the real point of the above picture ?If they wont to show the De-Facto situation they must show the maps that we use here which shows the current border-lines.
    Using maps of 1988 is good only for azeris and there government that would like to have one more chance to go back at those times.

    I guess the above is not THAT bad considering this is the 2010 Encarta Encycopledia but obviously it is not enough as by now we all know Armenia and Iran share a border with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

    OK so I have installed the new 2010 version of Enciclopedia Encarta (Encarta Encyclopedia; available in Latin America), and when checking out both the portal of Armenia and Azerbaijan, I came across to these maps:

    The Republic of Armenia


    The Republic of Azerbaijan
