Re: Armenian women: should play a bigger role in our economy, politics and military.
It is really sad to see that people like Mos still have such backward psychology. Unfortunatly he is not the only one who thinks this way. It is not liberated women that threaten us mr Mos - it is the likes of you that threaten our survival as a people. I would feel sorry for a girl who has you as a father.

Re: Armenian women: should play a bigger role in our economy, politics and military.
Giving such liberation to women will do a lot of harm to the structure of Armenian family and thus Armenian society. We do not need cultural revolution now, we have more important to things to worry about (Karabakh, EU relations, etc). Women also have a lot of freedom in Armenia there is no shortage of that, so they shouldn't complain nor should we look to change it. I would even argue that to much of it is given to women especially in terms of dress.
Diasporan girls, most of the them at least, have been empowered with the concept of radical feminism preached by western culture which in turn has led them to assimlate, humiliate armenian reputation, and more worse things..

Armenian women: should play a bigger role in our economy, politics and military.
This topic is made to discuss the (future) role of Armenian women in our society.
In my opinion Armenian women are one of our nations greatest unused potentials.
We must promote Armenian women to be more active in our economy, in our politics and in the military. We need to get rid of our mentality that women ''should stay home all day and cook''.
Ofcourse, I like our culture and do not want it to be like the West where feminism has gone out of control, but I see the role of Armenian women as very important. In our history, women have always played a big role.
In my personal experience, I have seen that more girls are involved in patriotic and Armenian social organizations (in the Diaspora but also in Armenia) compared to boys, their potential is just huge.
I think it is also one of the smartest things to do to reach to all those Diaspora-Armenian girls, who think that we treat girls like a slave in Armenia.
If we could show to the outside world the huge role of women in our society, by promoting equality among men and women and by for exampling having a women as President would give our Armenia-Diaspora ties a big boost (I even think this could impact the damage of assimilation and attract girls from the Diaspora).
Also, more women should need to get involved in the military, especially in the logistical field, as medics, reservists and even as soldiers (but not at the front). We have enormous shortages and this would be a great opportunity to make our military more efficient and stronger.
The positive things of involving women in our economy is obvious and needs no further explanation.
