I don't understand why some of you people are so sexist, not to mention awfully racist, which also some of you are, and at the same time. I guess it all comes in the same package.

The thing here is that women play an important role in our society and they have always done, whether you like it or not, they have succeed in all fields as well as men have. They have defended our homeland and have died for the freedom of our people, and they will do it again if it's needed.

Far away are the times when women could be only what men wanted them to be, when men went to work and women stay at home taking care of the children, not receiving education because they didn't need it. Those times are gone, and they will never come back.

Now, what do you think? That if women receive the same rights and the same equality to men they will all become who*res? So every women has a who*re inside ready to come out if they have the chance, right? So there are not decent women who respect themselves, right? That includes every women? Even your mothers, your sisters, your wifes and daughters (if you have)?
Listen to yourselves! I don't say every women is decent, there are a bunch of who*es all around, they are sadly the majority some times, but that doesn't mean every single women is the same. There are decent, respectful women that can handle responsibilities greater than being a wife and mother, and succeed in it.

Women, and men, in the West are so f*cked up because Western society is much more liberal and tolerant towards things that have always been present in our society. Society has always been corrupted and dirty, the only thing is some centuries ago those things were terribly bad seen, because every single person was a hidden sanctimonious, they also committed disgusting things but they kept them hidden so nobody would found out. In Western society, the only thing that happened is that those people that had to keep their dirtiness hidden now could openly talk about it and show it to the world and feel no shame about it.

Why don't we listen to the opinion of the women on this forum instead of being here saying who can do something and who cannot? They have a word too, where are they?

Yes, Haykakan... your mom regrets ever bringing you into this world... everyday she wakes up saying "damn I wish I had never had to clean buggers out of his nose". They weren't forced to do anything... how do you know they aren't being forced or "guided" to resent having children now? You seem to look at some things from popular points of view. What's popular today wasn't popular yesterday.

If a woman plans her life, she CAN have it all. Key words "IF". The problems start when they try to have kids, go to school and work all at the same time. They do a half-assed job of each one and usually end up failing miserably. It's not their fault... they make it look so easy on TV.... because the house is perfectly cleaned by the stage crew.

History prooves people like levon and mos wrong. Catharine the great happened to be one of the best rulers in history. During the kharabagh war there were women who fought and died along with the men for our country. Even in ancient times armenian women made their marks like hripsime and some of our taguhis. You can burry yourselves in traditional values alll you like but you miss the point that women even in ancient times were more then childbearing machines. Maybe your mom was content with sitting around cleaning the buggers in your nose all day, that doesnt mean all women are like that.

I disagree, in America (and Europe) the government deliberately tries to influence the minds of their people, by their teachings at school and brainwashing programmes on TV (anti-Christ).

Take a look at Israël, who is quite liberal towards women, they actively participte in the economy, military and politics but they have not all become who*res.

Our Armenian culture is different, our situation is different and I totally disagree our women will become xxxxxs if they participate, on the contrary Armenian women will even be more involved in our politics and in keeping our Armenian heritage (especially the Diaspora-Armenian women whom we MUST reach).

If you do not want our girls to be who*res, we have to resist the pop-sex-anti-Christ-culture of Europe, not by locking up women, but by what we teach our children at school, by what they see on TV and our belief in God.

The Armenian church will have to play an important task, by teaching our children the values we are proud of. In my opinion we neglect the importance of our faith and children do not learn enough about our religion, we can start expanding the number of hours of religious lessons at schools.

Furthermore we have to create an all-Armenian ideology, a seperate course which has to be taught to our children from the day they go to kindergarden till highschool.

We need our women, not only to cook and stay at home, but for our national struggle. We need to get rid of our muslim-inheritated heritage.

As I said, what you propose may sound good on the surface but in practice it will lead to what happened in the west. Don't forget that merely 60 years ago the pop-attitude towards family values and religion was completely different.

In order to allow women to more actively participate in politics ans such social values towards women must change towards the liberal end, which will ultimately lead to liberal values in general (e.g. wh*rish women). Just look at the progression of feminism in America and you'll see what I'm talking about.
