Actually current Armenians of Armenia have more in common with post-Soviet people than Iranians. You are much more likely to see hayastancis hanging out with Russians, Ukrainians, or Georgians than Persians, that's just how it is. Say what you want to say about Russia, if it wasn't for them there would be no Armenian in South Caucasus, and they protect us from the Turks to the west. So you better be grateful for their help, since without it Armenia wouldn't exist.

Depends which J3ws you're referring to. Might I remind you that Armenians thrived in the Ottoman Empire for 600 years living alongside Turks. Not to mention that we were successful and vital members of society who were envied by Turkish J3wry.

I'm referring to ordinary J3ws, not right wing Israelis. Even if there was some hostility between Turkish J3ws and Armenians during Ottoman period, are you going to blame all of J3ws for that, or the Turkish side of their identity?

Iran also has an invested interest in sell the Caspian gas... one way to do so is through the Nabucco project since the PKK keeps blowing up pipelines.

That one, I think, it already exists, however it can be expanded. What concerns Armenia would be the one proposed pipeline that tee's off and cuts through Artsakh and Armenia to Turkey. Both borders have to be open for that. Iran would be against that.

"Historic" doesn't mean anything. We have "historic" relations with Turks and Kurds - doesn't mean they are our friends. Look at the substance of the relations rather than just looking at how many years we have been in contact with each other. Yes Russians saved our a*s a couple of times from invading Turks. First during the Genocide, and also during Karabakh War where they didn't let Turkey attack. We can pick Russian relation over Iranian because our relations with Russia are much deeper and involve our security. With Iran, it's mostly economical.

People often forget our relations with the Greeks also - they are close friends with us and share a similar history of oppression by Turks. We have a lot in common with the Greeks more so than Iranians in my opinion.

KanadaHye, Good post -- you know the dangers of Zionism. One thing that you ALWAYS have to be careful about with Israel, is whether they will exploit you or set up a false flag operation. Here in your post it looks like he was using an Armenian name and working for Israel. This is not the first such case - Iran's Intelligence also caught Israelis posing as Muslims. Like I've always said, I feel sorry for peace-loving xxxs (e.g. Norman Finkelstein), but I am not afraid to call Israel out for its history of manipulation and mischief.

Yes I am. They lead in diplomatic roles between countries, control the finances, laws, the international courts, the media and the press then on top of it all, they complain about being persecuted. It's getting old. Yet the general population never learns that eventually they sell the Empire out and start all over again elsewhere.

Yes, Armenians do have a history with the Turks and Kurds -- they genocided your people. And yes, it DOES MEAN SOMETHING. As does the historically strong relationship between Armenians-&-Iranians: In case you've never cracked open a history book: Iranians stopped the Ottomans from ethnically cleansing the Armenians in the 11th through 14th centuries.

Oh please, same sh*t was being said by jealous Turks against Armenians during the Ottoman Empire. Yes J3ws get ahead in the societies they live in, it's not some world wide conspiracy, it's just they are very skilled in organising themselves and succeeding in foreign lands, similar to Armenians actually. So stop this anti-Semitic BS, unless you have some legitimate, scholarly things to say (and right wing nazi literature doesn't count).
