I had written several times that Iran pursues its self interests and it uses realpolitik in its relations (like pretty much all relations in the world), but for saying that I was met with hostility, because apparently I was trying to "break" Armenia-Iran relations.

I agree the wording you used was not nearly as cordial as Federates. But I know you realize the close history between Armenia and Iran, as well as the warm ties the two enjoy currently.

He's Persian - his audience speaks Persian: Wouldn't it be the other way around? i.e., He's careful not write anything controversial in Persian? Surely the Iranian government can read Persian. There goes your theory .... "Environmental degradation" of a statue is "controversial" if written in English? *Oh my god ... Chicago will riot if he puts captions in English ... Iran must hide the "environmental degradation" of old statues. Write it in Persian.*

Iranian soldiers died for their country, Iran. Same as Russian soldiers who died fighting the turks. Thank you to both Russians and Iranians for this but let's not assume it was purely out of brotherhood that this was done. At least not on the strategic level..

I can tell you that Armenians have died for Iran for nothing but for friendship and a sense of brotherhood.....my Avatar, as ancient as it is, still stands today.

Iran does not need to recognize the Armenian Genocide by word, it has by its actions.
