Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Anyway, I hope Israel finishes this "palestinian" menace once and for all. Cast Lead 2 should commence soon. You have to admire Israel's patience for all this time.

armenian support for zionist atrocities, this is beyond pathetic. seems like the spiritual "leaders" are not the only one to have lost their "moral compass".

Rev 17:2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.

You answered your own question. Armenia was split between Turkey, Iran and Russia for a long time. There were multiple military takeovers, genocides, Bolshevik revolutions, breakdown of USSR... the amount of political and social upheavals is the main reason why people don't move back. The other is financial, and the other reason is convenience. People tend to get comfortable and complacent when they move to a place that is politically stable and affords economic opportunities to the average citizen without the danger of military threats or economic embargos. They become even more complacent the more time they spend in these places.

Maybe you can answer why hundreds of thousands of Persians live on the US west coast. They are mostly affluent, yet they try to stay as far away from Iran as they can, despite Iran not having half the problems Armenia has. I ask this as someone who respects Iranians and thinks Iran is strategically vital for Armenia's survival. My point is that every country has people who move out and never look back, even if they are good countries to live in, and especially if they have problems on the scale that Armenia has.

Armenia shares many similarities to the Gaza strip. Where else in the world does a territory have at least 80% of its borders blockaded, is landlocked, is without natural resources, has a dwindling population, and is in a constant state of war surrounded by enemy forces hundreds of times its strength? The only real difference between Armenia and Gaza is that Armenia has one of the strongest powers in the world as its protector. If you take that factor away then Armenia would be just as bad, if not worse than Gaza.

I think in your effort to show a deep historic connection between Armenians and Iranians you made the mistake of overstepping and claiming Armenians are an Iranic people. Now obviously we have borrowed many things from each other, not just Iran influencing Armenia but also Armenia influencing Iran. This doesn't mean Armenians are Iranic any more than Iranians are Armenoids. I also disagree with some of the historical claims you made in regards to the genocide. I generally like your anti-Turanian, anti-Zionist and pro-Iran-Armenia messages.

If you asked Turks back then or even now, they will claim all our freedom fighters are terrorists and that we wanted to massacre Turks and destroy their state. Its called delusion and self-deception. And if you honestly think Armenians have more in common with Israelis than with Palestinians, then you need to read about Armenian history, Palestinian history, the history of Pan-Turkism and the history of Zionism. If thats too difficult for you, just have a conversation with an Armenian from Jerusalem.

Btw, you misspelled your username. Its spelled Ara Keghetsig, not Ara Keretsig, unless you're trying to imply he moved to America and put on 20 pounds.

let's see. Our armenian fighters, did they target a school bus on it's way to school? Did they fire a rocket blindly on civilians? Did they massacre a whole family for no reason other than they're turks?

Wow the ignorance is just breathtaking.. Are you comparing the occasional rockets with Israeli bombs, a whole family with hundreds or thousands of people being killed? Seeing your kind, we must admit the Zionists have really done/are doing a 'good' job...

If there's anything to compare, it would be the Palestinian Genocide with the Armenian Genocide.

I think he has considered a French pronunciation.

Israel only attacks in retaliation and self-defense to provocations. The so called "palestinian" freedom fighers use civilians as shield. what else you want Israel to do? take it like sitting ducks and not protect their citizens? Your hypocrisy is showing.

If "palestinians" want peace, they can have it tomorrow. But they don't want peace with Israel, they want peace without israel. That's why there will never be peace.
