Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing

You also may not:

What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

      Gyumri Massacre Survivor Still In Critical Condition

      Doctors in Armenia on Tuesday fought to save the life of a 6-month-old infant from Gyumri who was gravely wounded in an armed attack that left his parents, grandparents, aunt and 2-year-old sister dead.

      Seryozha Avetisian underwent surgery in a Gyumri hospital on Monday shortly after being found stabbed in the chest in the family’s house. The five other family members were shot and killed in their beds.

      The baby boy was transported to the Surp Astvatsamayr hospital in Yerevan the following day while remaining connected to a life-support system.

      “The child’s condition was and remains extremely severe,” said Nikolay Dallakian, the hospital director who escorted Seryozha during the nearly two-hour journey from Gyumri. Dallakian said the transfer to Yerevan was necessary to “make his further treatment maximally effective.”

      Dallakian said that although the stab wounds did not damage any vital organs, the orphaned baby lost a lot of blood and caught a cold because he received first medical aid only several hours after the bloodbath, which was apparently carried out by a Russian soldier serving in Gyumri.

      Law-enforcement authorities believe that the soldier attacked the family, for still unknown reasons, early in the morning. The Avetisians’ dead and injured bodies were discovered at around noon.

      Armenian Health Minister Armen Muradian personally oversaw the efforts to save Seryozha’s life. “The child has been transferred to a more well-equipped medical center,” Muradian told reporters at Surp Astvatsamayr.

      “We have convened a meeting of our leading [medical] specialists,” said Muradian. “A second meeting will take place this afternoon. I hope that our efforts … will prove successful.”

        Russian Soldier ‘Confesses’ To Slaughtering Armenian Family

        A runaway Russian soldier admitted murdering six members of an Armenian family in Gyumri after being detained overnight, a senior Armenian police official said on Tuesday.

        Hunan Poghosian, a deputy chief of the national police, shed little light on Valery Permyakov’s possible motives and gave few other details of his questioning by Armenian and Russian investigators.

        Armenian prosecutors announced, meanwhile, that Russia will have custody of Permyakov at least until the end of a criminal investigation into the gruesome crime. It remained unclear, however, whether the pre-trial probe will be conducted by Armenian or Russian security bodies.

        “In terms of information subject to publication, [Permyakov] deserted his military post with an assault rifle and two loaded magazines,” Poghosian told a news conference in Gyumri. “He claims that he wanted to stroll around the city and entered that house by accident, without knowing whether or not there are people inside it.”

        Poghosian, who led a manhunt for the Siberian conscript on Monday, would not say what led him to shoot and kill a Gyumri couple, their son and daughter-in-law, a 2-year-old granddaughter, and an unmarried daughter. The couple's six-month-old grandson was stabbed but survived. The police general said only that Permyakov most probably did not personally know any of the slain members of the Avetisian family.

        The Avetisians’ modest house is located around 2 kilometers from the Russian military base in Gyumri where the shooting-spree suspect had served for less than two months.

        One of their neighbors, Manvel Yeghiazarian, described the victims as “very quiet, kind and hard-working people” who “never caused trouble.” “We just don’t know why it happened,” the middle-aged man told RFE/RL’s Armenian service (Azatutyun.am).

        Like other neighbors, Yeghiazarian insisted that he heard no gunshots shortly before the Avetisians were found dead on Monday morning.

        Permyakov was detained by Russian border guards in Armenia shortly after midnight, while trying to cross the border into Turkey dressed in civilian clothing. He was handed over to the Russian base. The soldier was kept there on Tuesday while being questioned by Russian military officials and Armenian law-enforcers.

        Armenia’s Office of the Prosecutor-General announced shortly after Poghosian’s news conference that Permyakov will not be handed over to Armenian law-enforcement authorities pending investigation. In a statement, it argued that Russia’s constitution prohibits the extradition of Russian citizens to foreign states.

        The statement also said that the probe of the killings is being jointly conducted by Russian and Armenian law-enforcement bodies. Poghosian likewise spoke of a “joint investigative team” leading the probe. He went on to claim that Russian military officials “find it expedient to transfer the case to the Armenian side.”

        “It’s just that Armenian and Russian prosecutors are now figuring out necessary legal procedures,” he added.

        Poghosian dismissed Armenian government critics’ suggestions that the Russian side is keen to keep custody of Permyakov in order to cover up the crime. “They have come here to conduct an objective investigation and punish all those who bear responsibility for the crime,” he said, referring to an ad hoc Russian Defense Ministry commission that flew to Gyumri on Monday night.

        Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian met with the commission members led by Russian Deputy Defense Minister Arkady Bakhin on Tuesday. He made no statements afterwards.

        “Everything depends on what the suspect will say and how he will explain what he did,” Ohanian told reporters before the meeting. “We will see to it that ... the guilty individual or individuals are punished.”

        “I think that it’s not appropriate to politicize this or look for any deterioration of our relations because have a fairly high-level relationship and dialogue with the Russian Federation. Our military cooperation is at a particularly high level,” he added in reference to a domestic uproar caused by the Gyumri massacre.

        Armenian civic activists say the fact that Permyakov was taken into Russian military custody also amounts to a breach of Armenia’s sovereignty. Some of them point to a clause in a 1997 bilateral treaty regulating Russian military presence in Armenia. It stipulates that Russian military personnel committing crimes outside the base in Gyumri shall be dealt with by Armenian law-enforcement bodies and courts.

        Another article in the treaty upholds Russian jurisdiction over offenses registered inside Russian military facilities in Armenia. With Permyakov set to be charged with not only killing the six Armenians but also deserting his unit, Russian officials might invoke this clause.

            Գյումրիում և Երևանում շատերը չեն հավատում, որ Պերմյակովը միայնակ է գործել:

            Այս մասին այսօր լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ ասաց Ժուռնալիստների «Ասպարեզ» ակումբի խորհրդի նախագահ Լեւոն Բարսեղյանը` նշելով, որ այս օրերին կատարվածի վերաբերյալ որևէ տրամաբանված, լուրջ և մեղսունակ վարկած չի լսել:

            Նա նշեց, որ Գյումրիի դեպքը շատ լուրջ, ազգային հարցի է վերածվել: «Մեր իշխանությունը փաստորեն չկարողացավ ինքնիշխանությունը գոնե մի դրվագով պահպանել` հասկանալով իրավիճակի խայտառակությունը, անգամ սգո օր հայտարարելու գիտակցում չունեցան:

            Էդ մարդը մինչև հիմա գլխի չէր ընկել, որ պետք է սգի օր հայտարարեր(խմբ. նկատի ունի նախագահին): Բարսեղյանը նկատեց, որ այս օրերին ռուսները քաղաքում չեն երևում:

            Ըստ նրա` ռուս զինծառայողները գուցե ներքին հրահանգ են ստացել կամ վախենում են, միաժամանակ նշելով, որ այս օրերին քաղաքացիների և նրանց միջև որևէ կոնֆլիկ չի եղել:

              Գյումրիի բժշկական կենտրոն է տեղափոխվել տուժած յոթ քաղաքացի, մեկը ոստիկան է

              Երեկոյան տարբեր մարմնական վնասվածքներով Գյումրիի բժշկական կենտրոն են տեղափոխվել նախնական տվյալներով վեց քաղաքացի։

              Գյումրիի բժշկական կենտրոն է տեղափոխվել նաև մեկ վիրավոր ոստիկան։ Ինչպես նշեցին ոստիկանները, նա վնասվել է ցուցարարների կողմից նետված քարերի հարվածից։

              Քաղաքացիները հիվանդանոց են տեղափոխվել Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության հյուպատոսարանի մոտ ոստիկանների և ցուցարարների բախման հետևանքով։ Նախնական տվյալներով՝ քաղաքացիները տարբեր տեսակի վնասվածքներ ունեն՝ կտրվածքներ, այրվածքներ։ Զոհեր, բարեբախտաբար, չկան։

                    Տեղեկատվական դիվերսիա Հայաստանի դեմ

                    Գյումրիի ողբերգությունը ռուսական համապետական հեռուստաալիքներով, որոնք ՌԴ ամենազանգվածային քարոզչամիջոցներն են եւ լիակատար վերահսկվում են իշխանությունից, արժանացավ կցկտուր անդրադարձի, իսկ ողբերգության առաջին օրն այն անտեսվել էր ընդհանրապես:

                    Փաստացի, անտեսումը շարունակվում է առ այսօր, եթե նկատի առնենք այն, որ խոսքը վերաբերում է ոչ թե հասարակածային Աֆրիկայի անտառներում կատարված սպանությանը, այլ իբր ռազմավարական դաշնակից եւ բարեկամ համարվող երկրում սեփական ռազմակայանի զինծառայողի իրականացրած սպանդին:

                    Փոխարենը, ռուսական փաստացի պետական Առաջին ալիքը «փրայմ թայմի» ընթացքում, որը հեռուստատեսության ամենադիտվող ժամն է, անդրադառնում է Ռուսաստանում կատարված ինչ որ միջադեպի, որը շաբաթներ առաջ տարածվել էր համացանցում: Ռուսական քաղաքներից մեկում հայերն իրար են ծեծել՝ հայ տղաները ինչ որ բան են ասել մեկ այլ հայ տղայի ընկերուհուն, իսկ այդ տղան էլ բնականաբար պաշտպանել է նրան ու միայնակ հաշվեհարդար տեսել մի ամբողջ խմբի հետ:

                    Ընդ որում, այդ տեսանյութը Հայաստանի լայն շրջանակներում էլ հիացմունք էր առաջացրել, թե տեսեք, ինչպես է մեկ մարդը միայնակ լուծում մի քանի տականքի հարց: Հետո պարզվեց, որ «հարցեր լուծողները» բոլորն էլ հայ էին, կամ առնվազն հիմնական դրական եւ բացասական հերոսները:

                    Միջադեպն ունեցել էր իրավական շարունակություն, եւ քրեական հետապնդման է ենթարկվում այն տղան, ով պաշտպանել է իր ընկերուհուն: Ի դեպ, դա էլ ռուսական իրավապահ համակարգի վիճակի լավագույն բնորոշիչներից մեկն է: Այն համակարգի, որի իրավասության ներքո պետք է պատասխանատվության ենթարկվի Գյումրիի սպանդի կասկածյալ ռուս զինծառայողը:

                    Եվ ահա, այդ սպանդի մասին համառորեն լռող ռուսական Առաջին ալիքը հանկարծ որոշել է ամենադիտվող ժամին անդրադառնալ հայերի հաշվեհարդարին եւ ծավալուն քննարկում կազմակերպել:

                    Հասկանալի է լեյտմոտիվը՝ թե «տեսեք, ահա սրանք են հայերը, որ գալիս են Ռուսաստան եւ միմյանց հետ հաշիվներ մաքրում»:

                    Ու հասկանալի է նաեւ, թե Առաջին ալիքի ծավալած քննարկման ենթատեքստն ինչ է ցուցանում՝ «եւ ով են իրար հետ այս հաշիվ մաքրողները, որ նրանց պետք է հաշիվ տա մեր թեկուզ մարդասպան հայրենակիցը, կամ որ մենք պետք է հաշիվ տանք նրանց մեր հանցագործի համար»:

                    Ընդ որում, դա միայն ռուսական Առաջին ալիքի լեյտմոտիվը չէ, այլ նաեւ ռուսական բլոգոլորտի մի զգալի հատվածի, որտեղ առկա քննարկումների մի զգալի մասում հորդում է հայության հանդեպ արհամարհական վերաբերմունքը:

                    Իհարկե, պետք է նաեւ արդարացիորեն խոստովանել, որ նույն Ռուսաստանում կան շատ անհատներ ու հասարակական շրջանակներ, որոնք թե անկեղծորեն սգակցում են հայ ժողովրդին, թե միանգամայն անաչառ կերպով գնահատում իրենց հայրենակցի ոճիրը, թե անգամ ներողություն խնդրում հայ ժողովրդից դրա համար: Մարդիկ կան, որ անգամ բանաստեղծություններ են հղում անմեղ զոհերի հիշատակին:

                    Բայց անվիճելի է, որ հասարակական ընդհանուր կարծիք եւ վերաբերմունք ձեւավորում է քարոզչական դաշտը եւ դրանում առկա առավել ազդեցիկ միջոցները; Իսկ դրանք Ռուսաստանի համապետական հեռուստաալիքներն են, որոնք ենթարկվում են ՌԴ իշխանությանը: Այսինքն, այստեղ արդեն գործ ունենք ոչ միայն զուտ ազդեցիկ քարոզչամիջոցի դիրքորոշման եւ քաղաքականության հետ, այլ նաեւ պետական, որովհետեւ պաշտոնական Մոսկվան է թելադրում այդ քաղաքականությունը:

                    Այդպիսով, պաշտոնական Մոսկվան տեղեկատվական դիվերսիա է իրականացնում հայության դեմ:

                    Եվ այդ դիվերսիոն գործիքները հեռարձակվում են նաեւ Հայաստանում, փաստացի ոտնահարելով Հայաստանի տեղեկատվական անվտանգությունը:

                    Պարզապես մինչ այդ, ոտնահարումը տեղի էր ունենում այլ համատեքստում եւ այլ թիրախներով: Ներկայում առաջին պլան է եկել հայության եւ Հայաստանի դեմ անմիջական, ուղղակի տեղեկատվական դիվերսիայի անհրաժեշտությունը:

                    Իսկ Հայաստանում հասունացել է ռուսական հեռուստաալիքների հեռարձակումը վերանայելու անհրաժեշտությունը:

                    Բայց, պարզ է չէ՞, որ չի կարելի քաղաքականացնել. բա որ հանկարծ…
