Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Quite right, Turkey was getting worried that the worldwide tide of the recognition of the Armenian Genocide was turning against them and the Truth was winning. Hence they turned to their friends in the State Department, the Swiss who actually donated to the Turkish Foreign Ministry the desk on which the Treaty of Lausanne was signed.

with our polititions in place and everything who were going to make turckey give us all of western armenia, and recognize the genocide and give us raparations..then in comes that evile Serje and takes it all away from us. You guys are pathetic!
Ara Papian, the former Armenian ambassador to Canada, has made a very convincing case that the Armenian government has the legal right to the Arbitrary Award of president Woodrow Wilson, but because of blackmail by the above noted 'neutrals' has not pursued it. Because of the fear for legitimacy, and the events of March 1 of last year, Serge Sargsyan has bargained away our historic rights just because of a backdoor deal with these 'brokers' that the illegitimacy of his regime will not be challenged.

Instead of living in reality you persist to exist in a dream state of your own. Waking up may be unpleasent but atleast its real.
Before, the said awakening you need to know what is going on, and not formulate your own views as historical reality (including international laws and rights) and start calling people pathetic. Read what the Turks are saying again they need a document that will reaffirm the treaty of Lausanne, which never included the Republic of Armenia as a signitory. This is what they want, and this is what they are getting in their overwhelming joy. Gul made this very same point during the meeting of Turkic nations in Nakhichevan of all the places.

Armenia and the Armenian people are again being sacrificed on the altar of realpolitik by the 'great power' I just never thought that our own government would do this to us, since during most of the previous treaties we never really had our own state and our own leaders that would stand up for us and defend us and fight for our security/rights to the death.

Hi Catharsis good to have met you. What do you expect from Serj Sarksyan, he was in the ranks of communists previously. What do you expect from a bloody communist? Selling out his country, nothing better from that bloody traitor.

Thank you Anoush likewise. We will be needing much of this thing that we talk about a lot but always seemingly never get to - Armenian Unity - in order to overcome the calamities that we will be facing in the coming weeks and months.

How the hell is Serj going to stand up to the whole world? Need i remind you that our only gueranteer of our security,Russia, wants him to sign this to? It is pretty funny when you choose to ignore what the turcks are saying on every other occasion yet this one you choose now to display. I dont know about you but i dont need Ara Papian to tell me that western armenia should legally be ours , i know it should be already and so does everyone else. Your crazy if you think a man who put his life on the line during a bloody war is going to sell out that same country for political issues. Your argument is swiss cheese its choked full of holes. Documents and treaties mean nothing, zero, zilch, nada... without power to back them up. This document is being signed because all parties involved, including Armenia and Russia have much to gain from it. Non of the other documents you mention can be signed without a successful war against turckey and the world is not willing to go to war with turcks yet. If Armenias leaders thought like you there would not be a Armenia today. Armenia needs to survive and build its strength and who knows one day it may have the oppertunity to get what it deserves in every way.

You are welcomed Catharsis jan, it's just that it is overwhelmingly sad that the turks' Lausanne Treaty that was not even legit, now thanks to our government in RA, namely Serje he'll be signing away any hope that we could have had of owning again at least parts of Western Armenia. The Wilson Arbitration that was completely legitimate, this guy Serje is forever signing it off and for what? To stay good with the US and Russia. This is a complete historical blunder on our part. I simply cannot believe it.

Anoush jan, let me ask you a rhetorical question. You have two options and can only pick one. The first is Armenia doesn't sign any documents with turkey and pursues the legal route of getting Western Armenia back. Second is Armenia signs the protocols and pursues the same goal as above, economically. Note that in both cases Armenia is taking a chance, it may or may not work out in Armenia's favor in either case. Now, which option would you pick and why?
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

I guess Gul and Erdogan are too busy with each other to think about Kim Kardashian. (not that it's a bad thing)
